Out of control refs have called 8 penalties for 67 yards in the first quarter, some of them flat out bogus. I checked, yup, B12 refs.

Was watching this game for our Nebraska boys. In general, you can totally see where his, (Bohl), ground game comes from. Defense has improved from last year, but it looks like NMSU has issues on offense; remember NMSU went bowling last year - and won.

Good start to the season for Coach Bohl and Wyoming. Good luck to them this year.

Gotta love seeing a review of a targeting call when no flag was thrown... and kicking the player out of the game... on a special teams play.

Not sure if #5 was a starter or not for Wyoming, but its rule changes like this that makes me think some coaches would not let starters play on special teams just because the rules allow for players to be kicked out of a game so easily for almost any helmet to helmet contact.

Sure hope our season isn't littered with these penaties, causing a lot of frustration. Looks like the calls might be following the NFL and the refs might err on the side of caution and remove more players from the game than previous years.

NMSU's schedule is nuts. They are going to have 2 games played by Thursday before most teams have even played 1.
