the seeding of the 174 bracket is a mess.
there is however a formula for it. However, it really does suck to potentially have what could be a finals match at quarters or semis.
one side of this says --its only the body of work for this season
another angle is well ok you have a known talent that only wrestled `13-15 matches
and yet another angle is ok a 3x'er planned a medical forfeit but only receives a 9th seed.
the objective of seeding for tournament competition is to ensure the 2 best competitors meet in the finals and not before.
