My initial opinion is he is the best back ever to come out of Nebraska with the possible exception of Gale Sayers. His moves and vision are insane. He appears to be at most 4.5s in a 40 time. Anyone know what his speed is like? Does he run track? Definitely 4 star talent.

I'm excited he came on-board. A close buddy of mine here at work was the DC at BW until last year, he also played football at the Naval Academy, he thinks Bradley is a beast. So I expect good things out of him.

He's from Ohio and generally has a low opinion of the overall quality of NE HS football, so when he has something positive to say, I take it as a good thing.

I would be curious what the talent evaluators think of him (I don't think the recruiting services have rated him, or looked at him very closely). On one hand, I know the HS competition in Nebraska isn't very good right now and less talented guys like Strong have put up huge numbers. On the other hand, Ahman Green was a legit 5-star talent, playing against Nebraska competition.

I'll admit, not living in Nebraska anymore, I dismissed out of hand some of the HS players recently, Collins Okafor, comes to mind. But this Jaylin Bradley is legit, wow, what incredible movement and vision! I only hope he continues to work hard with strength and speed training.

I haven't been this excited about a Nebraska recruit in a long long time.

His HS coach said he can play at 210 and not lose any speed or quickness. Also is a quality kid and hard worker.

Have to love a HS coach as an expert on how much weight someone can carry without slowing them down. Not saying he's not right, but I'd be curious to know what science he used to make that statement.

Not saying he will be another Ameer but he never had the straight line speed either, but he had the juke moves, jump cuts and side to side moves to break ankles.

His running style to me indicates he could increase his straight line speed quite a bit, Ameer leg and hips just wouldn't alow the straight speed.

Huffman would get understandably annoyed when he would hear or read people talk about Bradley's situation with no knowledge of it.

He'd read nonsense about character issues or something like that. Absolute bull.

"This kid has zero character issues," Huffman said. "He's a stud. He just has to work harder." The 6-foot Bradley is somewhere north of 180 pounds right now, but Huffman thinks he can grow to be somewhere around 210.

Well, Ameer is 5'9 203 pounds. If Bradley is a legit 6'0 he can easily carry 210 pounds while not sacrificing speed or quickness.

@c3ntral08, It's just funny the way you present yourself on this board.

I have read in multiple threads your messages, and not a single one of them is spoken as opinion... every single one is fact, whether it's about recruits that are never gonna come here or athletic talent, in this case.

I can't speak to how good Bradley will be for us. I just chuckle every time you set us straight with your omniscience.

What lol. It is my opinion.. not my fault they end up being right. Are people really disagreeing that Ahman, jones, and horne weren't better RBs than Jaylin?? I thought we were known for having the most intelligent fans.

My opinion, Ahman and Jones, didn't have anywhere close to the same vision and movement as Jaylin, they were different backs, bigger and much more north south.

Sounds more and more like a whiny Hawkeye fan dissing our recruits and coaches as signing day approaches.

I guess we'll just agree to disagree on Jaylin being better than 5 star Ahman, 4 star Horne, and Calvin Jones. Glad we got the steal of the Century in Jaylin. Top 3 RB in the country right in our backyard with no offers.

What was Woodhead rated again?

Who were his offers?

Why is David Horne being mentioned instead of him?

Edit: I can't answer the question of who is better until Jaylin's career is done

Not meant as a dig... you are just a very confident poster. Makes me chuckle, that's all.

Horne was overrated at the time because of the hype of where he was from. He was a VERY good high school RB, but did not have great strength or speed.

Woodhead is a one in a million player. The true definition of diamond in the rough. For every Woodhead you bring up I can bring up a Tyler Evans, Collins Okafor, Luke Gifford, Sean Fisher... who was the last player from Nebraska that made a true impact for us?? Baker? And he was 5 star.

Agreed but he also faced better talent in class A and didn't have the work ethic and want to. Jaylin seems to have that which is great. I feel like he's going to be in for a rude awakening when he gets to college and sees what D1 competition is like. He's tiny.. but maybe he can be a great pass catching back. Who knows. I'll never agree that he's one of the best RBs to come out of this state tho

Central has had 3 RBs better than Jaylin just since 1990 lol

I am also a Central Alum and have significant pride in my alma mater, however we can not judge Bradley without his full body of work. Ahman and Calvin were beasts and and turned into tremendous college RBs with both moving on to the NFL. Horne had some bad luck with coaching changes at NU, ended up transferring to Northern Iowa and had a nice career there. Didn't end up with the 'final' step that Green and Jones did.

IMO Bradley has a ways to go to reach the level of Green or Jones, but the kid has talent and fits our offensive scheme pretty well. I hope he puts in the time and effort in both athletics and academics that will allow us to speak of him the same way we do some of the former NU greats. I am definitely rooting for him, rather than downplaying his capabilities, unlike another former Central alum who sounds like they would rather be right, instead of root for the kid to succeed.

I don't give one sh*t if you wear husker gear at a game, what you say on this board, anonymously, makes you look like a tool. You are probably the guy, that we all have had to sit next to at the stadium, that bitches about the players and coaches the entire game. Enjoy your half empty drink.

What in any of what you said means "For Sure" Jaylin is going to be worse than anyone?
