Winning 9 games doesn't mean squat

Hasn't since Frankie snapped that streak over a decade ago in case some of you missed it.

They don't even hand out participation trophies for reaching 9 wins in a season.
Tell that to Husker nation :) moral victories count on this board.

Amen. Nobody should GAF about any amount of "wins" if the wins don't bring title games, trophies, championships, etc. If Bo proved anything, it's that he was clueless when it came to BUILDING from a decent season. If you want to hit the reset button every August and be content with mediocre, go cheer for Iowa. We. Want. Championships. Period. Anything less is unacceptable.

They don't hand out participation ribbons for 4-5 wins either. Dumb rationalization for crappy coaches.

But they do hand out bowl buds for winning 9 games. You might appreciate it more if you are sitting home this year.

Absolutely! So go hire a coach that is a .500 coach that has never won a championship. That seems logical.
