Will Iowa still be ranked after they finish 11-3?

Since the site administrator has no issue with it perhaps you should pm him and express your concerns rather that doing a " look at me look at me" post
and calling out a member of this board. Interesting how you focus on something not on the list and show blatant disregard for the rules and call him out.
Let us know how that goes for you.
I'm not trying to be a "look at me" poster. And calling someone out? Please. Have you seen his/her response?
Just quoting wht YOU posted earlier.
GO HAWKEYES!

I'm attempting to have meaningful college football discussion... Not sure what you're implying.

C`mon you`re the one that brought up his avatar and now that I call you on it you say ' I`m not calling him out." These conversations with posters from other sites are such a waste of time and exactly why people should mind their own business.

And after we beat Iowa next Friday, it will make it even that much better, the way there dogging us now about us lossing to Purdue (with a walk on back qb playing) and all our injury issues all year. We are finally healthy again. Just like MSU found out a few weeks ago, Iowa will find out as well, just how good the Huskers can be with a healthy team.

Again the only way we lose this game is if Tommy is suspended or is off on his throws. Please don't run and hide after we beat you guys like we did MSU (which is better football team all around then Iowa).

Its not lack of respect - Its an acknowledgement your season is built on an incredibly easy schedule - even then the games for the most part have been close. It is telling that a 5 win team ( NU) is being picked by many to win this game - Even if we lose I see absolutely no way the Big10 titkle game is even close.

I know you guys are excited about your season and we would be to - but outside lookin g in the record is more a function of SOS than anything else
When my Nebraska brethren say this, I really don't think they've watched Iowa. Their schedule is essentially the same as Nebraska's...just sub MSU for Maryland which was a win for both. It's as tough as any out there to date among decent teams. Heck, there mlnon-conf was probably harder than Nebraska's. The only games that were legitimately close were Pitt and Wisconsin. All others really weren't. Sure, some scored to pull within a score and tried desperation on side kicks, but in reality, Iowa has completely controlled their opponents... Particularly in the second half. I read the other day they have trailed something like 4 minutes all year.

I just don't get the belittling of them base on the play on the field..unless it's just smack...then, by all means get under the skin

And Iowa is ranked in the top 5 with that cream-puff schedule!! - while Nebraska is not even close to being ranked (nor should they be)

That's the point being made here.....
Iowa is undefeated...are we really comparing schedules? Nebraska has six losses. Iowa is a better team...and it's not close. Iowa will be playing in the BIG Championship game...a fabulous season. I suspect Iowa will
systematically beat Nebraska with a dominant running game and a special QB. By the way, I have no dog in this fight, just my honest opinion.

You're giving them crap about an easy schedule where we lost to several the opponents that they beat? If their schedule was so easy, then what was ours? Why didn't we take advantage when playing Illinois, purdue, nw, wiscy, etc.?
Yes I am and yes we had an easy schedule and laid an egg. That has no bearing on the fact their record is a direct reflection of their schedule

The avatar was beautiful. If you READ what I said to him/her it was "I adore your avator, but not you". And when I addressed YOU, I quoted YOU "If you come here looking for a fight, or to cause trouble, etc."
Wasn't the OP looking for a fight? Or to cause trouble?
Be honest, Mod!

The better team has yet to be established and will be decided in a week on the field. Exactly what bearing does the fact that NU has had a bad season against a weak schedule have on Iowa being over rated because they had a good season on a weak schedule?

Not close? Lol. Better tell Vegas

They are about to be 11-0...Iowa's record is a direct reflection of solid fundamental football. They are deserving of their record.

Well...you may have a point. Especially with NU coming off a bye and playing at home. But Iowa's season has been dramatically better. And Iowa is way better than you guys are willing to admit.
For some reason...the Husker fans are beside themselves over Iowa's success...certainly not the self assured Nebraska fan base I remember. What's wrong with congrats on a special year? Good luck next Friday.

Iowa has the better team this year. There is a reason we are 5-6. Not that hard to admit that. Iowa knows how to win consistently and this Nebraska team is still learning how to do that.

You know, you made me chuckle my friend when you use the word didn't deserve to describe Iowa's conference championships. When were Nebraska's conference championships? In the BIg 8 days. A conference which had two good teams and 6 doormat teams. All Nebraska had to do was beat one good team (Oklahoma) and it had a conference championship. I wouldn't exactly say they deserved it either, but OK. It looks good in the history books. :)

For a long, long time the Big Ten was two good teams and eight doormat teams. Iowa wasn't one of the two good ones.

Obviously an 11-3 team will be ranked. The very title of the thread was meant to troll for Iowa poster response. You got plenty.

Here's hoping for a good game on black and gold Friday with no serious injuries to the kids on both sides of the field.

No dog at all. I'm all Michigan pal but I enjoy all of the BIG games.
Interesting. A Michigan fan with an IP in Cedar Rapids. Not saying that I don't believe you, just saying that I find it interesting.

I had a buddy from Michigan that lived in Omaha. He used to love wearing his maize and blue on Husker Fridays at work. He retired to the U.P.

I guess fans can live most anywhere.

Current SOS ranks...

Iowa - 55th
Ohio State - 67th
Okie State - 58th
Nebraska - 51st
Baylor - 76th
TCU - 57th
Michigan - 56th
North Carolina - 73rd

So before you spout off about Iowa's SOS like a moron, check your facts. Is it the toughest schedule? No
Is it the easiest? No

Iowa does have two very solid victories @ Wisconsin and @ Northwestern

Yup. Along the lines of interesting, when stationed in Cali, a long long time ago, I was amazed at how many Iowans, Nebraskans and Missourians were out there. They'd see my Iowa plates and the discussion was on!

You couldn't be from the Midwest and NOT talk football.

Look you guys have a an easy schedule - you can throw out any number you want it will not change that - Of all those teams you list OSU is the only one really with a chance to get in the playoffs - they are coming off a MNC season and are loaded - you guys in the 4-5 years have not lost less than 5 or 6 games a year and do not have anywhere near the talent.

You tout Pitt - WI and NW and good wins - Pitt and WI have also not had any quality wins - NW I believe is a good win although they are "the little train the could team"

You last three Big10 opponents have exactly one conference win among them and that win was Purdue

You have not played anyone so far this year that would be a top ten type team and you have not played anyone this year that is even really that talented - Its why NU has a real shot we will have the most talent you have faced this year. In the Confer title game you guys will get really exposed and because of your record your bowl opponent is going to expose your team again so I think the the end of the year is going to be a little rough for you guys

PS just because we suck this year it doesnt make you better

if Iowa were good more than once every five years, Nebraska would certainly be "besides themselves" with Iowa's success. But its just not the case. If Iowa cant beat NU this year, a year of total transition, they certainly wont deserve any respect. That simple.

When was the last time Nebraska was good then? Honest questions because I was going to say when Neb went to the B1G championship game but we all remember how that turned out. I am not trying to troll but I cant remember when you were in the top 10 last.

Im just comparing records here for the last five years. I'm a life long Iowan. About every Iowa fan I know has wanted Ferentz canned the last several seasons. Congrats on having an excellent season, but its safe to say Nebraska with a new staff and all the problems that arise from that, is having a very Iowa hawkeye like season this year.

Just funny you have a premium account on the Michigan board, but this account you are using has 5 total posts.

Why not use your Michigan premium account then?

***I may be wrong here, but it does show that the account was created in 2003. By your posts you sound like a homer

He's got 5 total posts on Husker Online. I've been a member at Hawkeyereport (until I got the banhammer) for 12 years and had something like 30,000 posts, but it only shows my post count from posting here.

What about Ohio State's SOS? They haven't played a ranked team yet and only 3 teams with a winning record.
