Because scoring points is more important than playing good defense if you want to take a leap in wins. That doesn't mean I want a crap defense, but we've struggled on offense the past 5+ years and have nothing to show for it. We allowed less than 20 ppg on defense the past two seasons, but failed to score at least 30 ppg since 2018 - the same year we last had a 1,000 rusher. We have been pretty good at getting athletes on par with the teams in the B10 minus Ohio St and Oregon. We've lacked identity and just need to spin it around the yard with Raiola and the athletes around him. We don't have to run pure air raid but it is time to open it up and get points on the board.
