Raikes School of Computer Science is excellent college within UNL. Son #1 graduated from there in 2019. Looks like it is still producing top-notch students.
You have to laugh your ass off at these institutions that claim academic superiority. Take a look at the Ivy league grad that is the mayor of Philadelphia....
She’s a mess. The Ivy League is the height of DEI. IF you’re a member of a minority group or a first generation immigrant, you go for free and are recruited to attend. Check the right boxes is pretty much all you need. It’s how Tommy Amiker landed a top 10 recruiting class at Harvard even though they can’t offer athletic scholarships.
My son just graduated from Raikes in '23. He could have crossed paths with your son during the interview phase. You can ask him if he remembers anyone from St. Louis in the program. Raikes is a very good program that is rather selective and then develops those students over the years.
