Foley's fat ****in ass. They should put dirt in his mouth and get him a Greyhound ticket home.
Yep, but I was caught off guard with both the kick fakes. Also DR's early skid seemed poorly coached, and the second one, when he got the late hit call; yes he did skid late, but the defender also drove him in the ground to put on some hurt. DR was mad but threw no fists and avoided an offsetting penalty. Still, a lucky call for NU. We came awfully close to choking on this game.
But we somehow found a way to win. Something previous teams struggled to do game after game.
Baby steps.
Wish I could say that for the Ill and Iowa games; seems like losing has been finding a way to us. All the same, a good QB, a bowl game, a victory, a winning season, and finally overcoming the odds, in the mud at that. Is it a turning point, yes. Is it a significant turn, well, winning is what the game is about. We won. Need to build on that, and we shall see.
That was kind of my point. Past games we find ways to lose this one. The fact they didn’t is something to build on. We will see if this is the first piece to the foundation we need.
I knew our ST would be bad but Foley continues to exceed expectations on being terrible. Thankfully we had enough margin for error.
According to big red reaction the long snapper is the issue, they threw him under the bus....says Foley isnt the problem. From Banderas and coatney call in. Crazy the ends they went to take heat off Foley
Yes, Foley sucks, but late in the game a 6th year senior punter needs to speed up the freaking delivery of the punt. He’s standing back there like he got all day.
No doubt, but should have coaching that reinforces the urgency before he trots out....1 step and get it off, no 3stepping
