I wanted to believe.

I felt we needed a CEO style that could lead us into the new wave of college football.

He's done all the right things on building the program in the back office, and winning at the offseason, but wow what a disaster on the field.

Our practices must be soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft, soft

1. That job was never offered to him (I need to see a contract)
2. They would be where they were with Mike Shula

Our practices are very soft. This staff has no clue what physicality is. We don't practice it and it certainly doesn't show in the games. I was appalled when I went to my first practices with this staff. I asked some friends what happened with physical practices and they just shrugged their shoulders.

Football is a very violent game and if you don't practice being violent, you won't be violent in the games. This staff is just interested in pass patterns.

Saban lost early on in his time at Alabama to La Lafayette I believe. If they were successful in hiring Riley they would be on their level as well.
