He has one catch since our conference season started. Bad luck in not being targeted? Injured? Just isn't playing to his ability? Isn't picking up the offense?

Does he have the motivation for a breakout game this Saturday since it is against OSU?

I think it's funny that I often read on here that we need to less receivers. Look at our WR this year. We have Morgan and DPE, then its a bunch of true freshman and walk ons that are playing. We have to have depth at every position and WR is a great case this year. We have had some injuries and other things but we have to keep getting these guys here. As for Lindsay, he'll be fine. He will get bigger and faster this offseason and a previous poster was correct. That downfield block was nice... There was a great little writeup about him a few days ago, and it sounds like he's approaching this year with a great mindset. Not pressing and just accepting his role this year. I like that out of kids. We need some bigger WR to help us out in the near future.

Riley likes to do more with less...so he is going to break this kid down first...build him back up...and by his senior year he will be awesome.

He's been a big disappointment this year, but no doubt he'll be a player before his time is up.

Hell, he is the lead blocker on the runs to the left. They call that run "rag doll". Put him outside and throw him the ball.

They've tried at times and he hasn't produced much yet. He had a jet sweep run I think for minus yards against Wisconsin.

When you consider what Joseph Lewis has done at USC this season, Tyjon is doing well. You have to love how he blocks as a true freshman WR. Seen him giving great effort in that area all season long. The ball-catching and TDs will eventually come. Tanner has missed him at least twice this year on deep bombs that were TDs. He is playing a different position than Spielman, otherwise he probably would have Spielman's numbers this season.

Good post.

this is why fans are flat out lying to recruits on twitter when they constantly tell every recruit they could show up and start immediately as a way to persuade them to a school. Some recruits can but its very rare.
it creates an situation later when the kid is unhappy because of false expectations.
i seriously doubt any of the 2018 WR commits will play much if any next year yet they are being told the WR roster is wide open. Its not.
Only DPE graduates and then all of last years commits including keyshawn jr return with experience.
next year's WRs are already on campus

If these recruits are making their decision based on fans tweeting they can play right away, they deserve to be unhappy. That would be plain stupid to accept fan tweets at face value.

It wasn't just a first down, it was six if Tanner anticipates him coming open there.

Yet another case of Tanner Lee being a less than average QB. That was criminal how badly he missed TL.

I wouldn't hold my breath on KJJ returning to Nebraska.

He's behind DPE on the depth chart right? So, he's only going to be in on a limited number of plays.

According to sportsreference, Lindsey has 9 receptions on the year. That sounds about right for playing behind DPE.

Here something off topic, but Aaron Williams is listed as questionable. What's up with that?

So, Jonathan Taylor the Wisky back is a 3 *, our WR was a 4* .... maybe the talent/recruiting bs will stop someday.

He’s a freshman and this year he will play against some guys that have a chance to play in the NFL next year. That’s what is going on.

I hate the fact that under the last four offensive coordinators we've stuck with a complicated, tough to learn system for receivers to learn. Tyjon Lindsay should be on the field making plays. Not rotating in behind DPE, knowing how to run a limited amount of plays.

Jamire Calvin is playing for a Top 20 team and has much better stats. So do other young receivers we've been in on that went elsewhere.

the kid that committed 5 times and then went to wazzu, calvin, plays pretty regularly. 17 catches, 150 yds, 2 tds. could have used him.

Taylor has RB size and sprinter speed. Wisconsin focuses on getting backs that can excel in their system. I am not sure what we do.
FTR, our last great back, AA, was a three star. Old knees Bryant is a three start.
