What is Tony White thinking?

I’m sure Snow looking over his shoulder is playing some part in this is what I’m thinking.
Tony did not like Butler coming in and having Rhule's implied authority to change coverages and scheme. Then you add in Snow babysitting Tony.

No doubt, Tony has been looking for a new job and said "**** it, you wanna come with me Terrance?"

One thing if he took a HC job somewhere. He did not. Another Rhule failure. I know you will go to all lengths to def me Rhule. But anyone with common sense sees Rhule is drowning right now. Here’s to hope that he can figure it out.
Rhule's gonna have a lot of shit to process between now and Dec 4 when the portal opens, and then I think Dec 9 or or so is signing date for the incoming freshmen.

Anyone who was recruited and connected to Tony or Terrance will be at risk to not sign.

Most coaches don't work out. It's easy to take the easy prediction and then pretend to be some wise person when it doesn't. Still too early to know for certain but not a stretch to assume it won't. Most coaches don't work out in sports
then the people who predicted Deion to be a success at CU should be lauded as actually wise.

just trying to maintain consistency.

If the offense and special teams hadn’t been trash for most of the season, we would have won a few more games and TW would be leaving for a HC job. And he would take the same set of assistants and players as he will now take to FSU as DC. So from the NU fan’s perspective, nothing has really changed from preseason expectations. Other than we lost more games than we should have, which is a universal constant.

Could be as simple as $$$ (see Alberts, Trev), or at least a significant factor. Money is often a strong motivator.

Combine Tony with the very capable and well liked Pot Roast and it's not good for NU.
Could be they really just don’t like the state. A lot of guys have a bigger plan, which includes stop off at name schools for résumé building purposes. Could be those guys want something more permanent in the southeast. What do I know?

If "predicting" Deion was going to be successful meant they were wise, then that would mean Colorado fans are the smartest group.

It's pure roll of the dice most of the time and most schools and fans hope for the best.
if what you say is true:

"People make the statistically easy prediction and pretend as if they are smart"

then, of course, the contrapositive of that statement is also true.

or - most likely - you are doing all you can to discredit those who've seen Rhule for what he is since the beginning through all the egg on your face.

Fuller was making $1.25 million, White is currently making $1.6 million. FSU may have offered to match or exceed that number, but I wouldn't think by enough to cause him to make this type of decision.

Not true.

Tony is mad that 'puffy lip' Matt accidentally put on Tony's sweatpants and had an accident in them after lunch.

What do you all have coming back for defense next year? Your two huge DTs were/are incredible and seemed to really set the tone for the entire defense. I think they are graduating? If there are other big losses on the D, I could see it being a good time to try something new. But man, #0 and #9 are a wrecking crew!!!

I guess if he was going to leave this is a good time for it..so the next dc can get going before next year

Just as we'd expect from Kong, rediculous statement with no rational.
better program
better pay
better weather
better recruiting

better everything

if you are flummoxed by this, I recommend taking a long look in the closest mirror.

FSU has a higher ceiling than Nebraska as evidenced by the past 14 years. Bringing someone in to loo over his shoulder isn’t gonna help matters.

Speaking of that, is Rhule just throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks? How enticing is being a coordinator under him if there is a good chance he brings someone in to undermine you?
seriously... here I defend you all the time as being the best Hawkeye fan and then you go and do this. Nebraska's ceiling is a National title. While it may not look like it now, Nebraska is a school that will go the distance to make that ceiling. They said the same things in the late 80's and early 90's when Osborne couldn't beat the Florida teams.

I'm am sorry man, but you are wrong here. Nebraska will do whatever it takes as long as it takes to get the right combination to get to that ceiling. My bet is we get a good coach in place of White. Phil Snow is what everyone is thinking, but I feel pretty confident they will land someone else.

Dabo early on at Clemson. Colorado this year.

He is not a good poster. Do you feed into his back handed comments all the time? unfortunately until NU gets out of its own way and starts beating these teams. These trolls will always be here just like @SWIowahawks

Can anyone point to a time when a coach overhauled the entire staff after a dumpster fire season and didn't get fired the next year? It's the equivalent of a PIP for an employee. I also think Coach Prime will leave CU after next season. He will be the next coach at FSU. He fits there perfectly and that is where his heart is.

So Tony will just end up jobless in a year. If he stays at NU he will be a HC in a year.
Prime’s heart is so into FSU that he spent the last twenty years in Dallas and now calls Boulder home. He has a stud class coming in and thinks he can get CU to the playoff (damn near did it this year). I could see him leaving after he completes that first five-year contract, but it won’t be to Tallahassee.

If so Tony will just take his 2 year guaranteed salary and find another DC job, those are always available, especially if FSU has a much improved defense.
FSU needs a portal goldmine to get it turned around in one year. The ACC is a comparatively easier conference, but I won't be surprised if Norvell doesn't survive the season. They start the year against Alabama. They will be better defensively but that's compared to a dumpster fire.

They are in a good location for a portal goldmine

He can go much farther at FSU than at CU. He could build a monster there that he can't build as easily in Colorado. He'd take the 5-star QB with him and have access to all the Florida and Southeast talent right next door. It would be stupid for him to stay at CU after next year because it won't get better than what he has right now.

Not really. They have to blow it up down to the bare bones and then try to fill out that 105-man roster rom scratch AND get everybody playing as a team. Alabama game one will be a sobering reminder of why that is hard to do early in the season.
