Is he calling any plays? Was he brought in to take over for Satterfield should he fail this year (which he is)?

QB coach. Option B for OC next year should Holgorson decline to stay next season.
If we have to go with HH at QB I'm not sure we'll know how any of this is going to work after Saturday. It'll be interesting no matter who plays, I guess.
My thoughts too. My guess is HH starts which means two things:
1. We will lose
2. We will not see too many new DH wrinkles in the offense. Just less of what did not work under Satt, such as any play requiring perimeter blocking.

Sounds like we’re about to find out how much he has improved over last season by starting Saturday and Dylan still not 100% after a bye week..
Need to get Dylan healthy so he can start against Wisconsin and the Clarkeyes..
I agree. Don’t bring Dylan back until he is fully healed. Wisconsin is our best chance for that 6th victory. Get him healthy for that game.
Your last line is key. We have seen very little of him. And the last we saw him he tossed a pic on our final play when we still had a shot at tying.
I think they are getting him ready to start but I also think they are trying to keep USC guessing. They have to practice for two very different QBs with different skill sets. Now they also have to try to figure out a new OC. Gettig HH more snaps as the number one will help, as will getting Kaelin ready. Don't be surprised if Raiola trots out there though.

He was brought in to coach QBs and maybe help Satt. Satt has been the play caller though and I don’t think any amount of coaching is going to compensate for the way Satt has run the offense for a freshman QB.
By virtually every account that matters, Haarberg has looked much better this fall in practice and scrimmages. That’s Thomas’s doing. I lay out offense and Dylan’s struggles squarely at the feet of Satterfield and he’s going to pay the price for that. Losing his play calling duties alone is devastating humiliation for a man his age. In a matter of weeks he’ll be unemployed.
They said yesterday morning that Dylan is ready to go but it’s anybody’s guess.
Satt takes so much heat, but it’s important to include Thomas in most those convos as co-OC and QB coach.
Seeing any regression from Dylan points straight to Thomas, when we should be seeing massive growth.
We knew DR would have some freshmen moments for sure, and not all of that is on Thomas, but the general unsettled feeling and lack of stepping into throws is all Glen.

Yeah I think Satt’s play design and play calling make it awfully tough on a freshman QB no matter who the QB coach is. I doubt Thomas sticks around if Dana is a permanent hire though.
I agree with this. I think he can do well if not being asked to do too much and allowed to do what he does best. I'd have more faith that DH can do this than ****in Sat. That is ofc if he's the starter.
I heard him say when I was driving to the golf course that he was going try and give it a go but his back is still sore..
If HH starts, I expect him to be kicking ass and taking names.. same with DR.
I like our chances to get a win on Sat, > 70% odds imo.
not for nothing, but HH is the winningest Nebraska QB since Tommy Armstrong.
he also is the only person who got Satt out of what didn't work (his entire offense) and into stuff that did (running the damn ball).
that said, I hope DR is able to go. he's our most talented player.

Rhule takes a the expo marker resting on his desk and inscribes "FRIENDS 4EVER" underneath "Chasing 3" on the whiteboard.
