just guessing but since it is not a former Husker or a direct link to Frost, I'm thinking it means a compehensive national search for a coach. An experienced guy who has done this before, probably with tons of connections and recent success of bringing life to a football program. Prayer chain now that it works this time.

That the NU administration is clueless.

That they like leaders on the edge of retirement?

You're making a mountain out of a molehill, we had our young buck and he hired our current coach. Obviously Moos has shown more than once that he was capable of making the right decision.

Moos isn't batting 1.000 and not knowing who will be the AD in 10 years will hurt us trying to go after young coaches like frost/campbell

Oh please. As the Osborne example shows us, if you are the football coach at Nebraska, and you are very consistently successful and playing for titles, then you get to tell the AD what to do, not the other way around

Remember you have to win first before you can tell the AD anything.

A Successful coach doesn't care. Think John Cook cares at all who the AD is? I doubt he lost 1 minute of sleep over this whole process.

Cook has been winning games here decades before Moos got here. New coach hired will not have that foundation yet. Apples and oranges.

I swear, no matter what comes up, there is always a way to spin in to the extreme and some possibilities that make a normal person's head explode.

so now just how close was anyone on this board to getting any of this right? Who predicted Moos as the new AD? Who even knew they were this close to a deal? So everyone now has to concentrate on why he was picked and how that affects the yet to be determined head coach IF there is one.

I would love to see Riley turn this around and get more time, just to cool some jets.

Who knew on this board about Moos? I would wager zero.

I know of maybe 6 or 7 AD's and that's it.. I don't know anyone who really cares who the AD's across the country are so I'm betting few cold name more than most.
