When T.O. was in charge, the vast majority of the assistants were perfectly content with being assistants. This gave the program so much stability from the mid 70's to the mid 90's. There was one problem with this. When it came time to crown a successor, there weren't very many good options. In hind sight, maybe Gill or Brown? Gill was a little young and inexperienced yet. Brown... Just not sure, but I love the guy. Do we hope that Frost has assistants that have the desire to be a future head coach? It's a catch 22. I hate to see us have guys that take the instant success and leave for a jump up on another staff, which is hard to argue with. I'm just not sure what to hope for in this situation.
