After four-dunk hoops game, Jeremiah Charles receives Nebraska football offer
Arlington (Texas) Martin receiver Jeremiah Charles received a Nebraska football offer after a 22-point, four-dunk performance in high school basketball game
Just remember, he hasn’t committed yet, and there’s no guarantee that he will be a receiver at Nebraska. He could change positions…![]()

It's time to start acting like a big boy program.Isn’t this what basically all the SEC teams do? Over-sign the classes and just parcel people out?
Welcome to big boy portaling and rostering….finally a coach that doesn’t treat the program as an intramural sport.Isn’t this what basically all the SEC teams do? Over-sign the classes and just parcel people out?
Exactly ^^^Welcome to big boy portaling and rostering….finally a coach that doesn’t treat the program as an intramural sport.
Indeed. Could boot at least 50 walkons as well. It's time to start acting like a big boy program.

Yup lolDid I see this right that IGC rejoined us???!
All true, but I assume some of these guys still would like to play actual football. So the conversations are also "you're never going to play here, if you want opportunity you'll need to find it somewhere else." Kinda like Georgia just did to Sherman.Well, it isn't as easy as just telling guys they need to "move along". From what Tuco stated, with a new coach, you can move 10 scholarships to non-football which then gives the kids a choice to stay or not. But, as I understand it, in the B1G when a kid is given a scholarship, it is guaranteed with some exceptions such as a coaching change.
So, if all of this is factual, the conversation isn't, well, you probably won't play in our system so we are pulling your scholarship. It is more like you are one of the ten who can stay and go to school but no football scholarship or you aren't a good fit for our system and you will likely just be a bench player or special teams.
With all the talk of the SEC doing it, yes, they have the conversations and the kids then have to decide which the LB we got from Georgia did.
NIL money can add scholarship money. I wonder if some of the starting seniors are on scholarship, or strictly on NIL money. Does Casey Thompson even need to be on scholarship with all the NIL money he will be making? I’d imagine some of the NIL deals take the place of scholarship. On the other hand, I could be 100% wrong.![]()

I don’t see how you can tell a kid he has to pay his way after earning NIL? Maybe you can I guess… but I’d be kind of ticked if it was me. All of Frosts projects that never have a chance at sniffing the field should be thinking about their life after football.I don't mind over signing, just wish we would use some of those spots on OL, and DL
I thought I coverd that. I listened to Nelson's interview and he sat down with Rhule and White and was complimentary of them so it is much more civil in moat cases because really, the kid has the advantage and the decision to make. All true, but I assume some of these guys still would like to play actual football. But, uh ...... not sure anyone is actually 'worrying' about it. I think some have questions on how the system/process actually works in the B1G for scholarship athletes. If you took your own advice, you wouldn't be worrying about those who you think are worrying about scholarships. Don't worry about the worriers. All in fun. 😁LOL - It's always something. Before now some people were crying that we weren't recruiting hard enough like the Alabamas, Ohio States, etc. Now some people are crying/worrying about exceeding the scholarship limit. Let the coach worry about working out those details. After all he's getting paid more than any posters on this board I'm sure. Mega times more. So just enjoy an energetic recruiting effort.
2025... or before the NCAA figures it out.At what point do we have to be down to 85?
