We’ve played our best opponents in OSU and IU and we’re 5-3. Probably let one slip against Illinois and just didn’t have enough against OSU. UCLA, USC, Wisco and iowa will be toss ups, but none of them are anywhere close to as good as OSU and IU. (I guess 🤷‍♂️) Every game will be a toss up going forward; do we have what it takes? Let’s roll and find out motha fvckers…

I been looking at osu fans posts and they are throwing their ol coach way under the bus...maybe osu's oline had a 0 & 9 problem?

do we have a complete Satterfield problem, or is osu's defense pretty good?

Probably both. OSU has had Oline problems for a long time. Satterfield isn't a good OC and I would say OSU defense is good but not elite.

The difference in the game was OSU had an easy button in Jeremiah Smith, who is probably the best OSU WR ever and they still only gave him a few targets. So offensive play calling was bad on both ends, combine that with a low number of plays and you get what you got on Sat.

I can't help but feel that once we get that elusive 6th win it will be a HUGE psychological monkey off our back and the team will play a little looser and things will come easier for us.

It would be great to get to bowl eligibility as soon as next Saturday and then see how much better we roll to close out the regular season.

7-5 quite likely. 8-4? Possible.

This coaching staff just showed what it takes to be competitive. Going forward, i expect no fvcking excuses. Do your fvcking jobs. You're being paid too much to give us the result from last week. Yeah, I'm still bitter from that bs in Bloomington. Lazy and stupid gets you nowhere in anything.

personally, I don't think OSU is that good.. not a top 10 team, not even a top 20.. more like 20 something.

I get all the 'feel good' stuff about not getting blown out, but the reality is, we should have won that game, and should have scored at least 2 more times.

I do not believe all this moral victory crap that is being claimed by the preacher and I guess they will take the opportunity to feed the weak minded that are on the team, but I would take a much different track.

They effin blew that game and should have won it. This is in spite of one of the worst OC's we have ever had.

The three positives I saw that came out of the loss Saturday were:

Dylan's willingness to use his legs on occassion

The team continued to batle for 60 minutes against a superior opponent

The FG kicking game improved dramatically and could conceivably be a positive, rather than a negative factor in winning or losing of any of the 4 remaining games.

OSU just about beat Oregon, to think the Buckeyes are not a top 10 team is a bit disingenuous.

Since it’s a home game for them I don’t know about Iowa being a toss up. They’ve been doing really good at home, sucking on the road.

The problem for OSU the last couple of years has been their OL - by a long shot - and that's really unusual for OSU and it all goes back to the HC. It's up to him to fix the problems. If OSU doesn't win the B1G this year and make a deep run in the Playoffs, Day will be gone.

How spoiled are their fans? They haven't lost more than 2 games in a season going back to 2010 0r 2011. In fact, they've only had 2 losing seasons going back to the mid 1960s which is - by far - the most consistent in CF. Right now, that is one POd fan base. It will be interesting to see what happens if they lose to PSU next week which is very possible. Day might be toast - after the game - if that happens

No moral victories. But the fact is we lost, can’t go back and change it, it’s done. Now we need to find a way to make it a positive going forward. It’s either that or give up cause let one slip away again. And 5-3 with four games left is in no way grounds for giving up.

thats interesting, NU fan was pretty spoiled too, before 2 conferance changes. osu has like 7 times the population which one would think is a big advantage, especially in the nil era. but they might not be able to keep the king of the hill spot now that the big 10 has changed and nil...look how fast indiana turned things around with nil...(I'd be surprised if michigan isn't looking to buy out indiana's coach weeks ago)...

glad we got our coach, he's done a good job coming in and using frost's players/adding to them, respecting NU's history and people, and getting the culture changing..thats a few objects to juggle...I think we are trending up..and maybe osu down a lil..there was a 28 spread for a reason..who would've thought we found a feild goal kicker in columbus???...I'd like the coaches to look at what they done with raiola since the windy game and reverse all of that (except running for firsts downs when nothing else is there)...maybe fly mahomes coach back in..

I'm not sure I'd can day for 1 year..they will probably beat michigan not sure about penn state or indiana, when we canned solich for winning 9 games per year..it's been quite a coaching carousel

OSU fired John Cooper for only winning 9 games a year and not beating Michigan and OSU really didn’t miss a beat. Hired Jim Tressel, started beating Michigan and eventually won a NC. One could argue if OSU would’ve fired Cooper if he was only winning 9/10 games and was beating Michigan, but that’s not what happened so we just don’t know. My point…

I don’t think OSU fans have reservations or fears about firing a coach who wins 10 games every year. Last time they did that it worked perfectly for them.

I think both things could be true on both accounts. Doesn't have to be an either/or situation.

Exactly right. As mentioned earlier, they haven't lost more than 2 games in a season going back 14 or 15 years - outside of that Tressel scandal year - and yet Day will probably be gone this year - just unreal.

Agree, if I was OSU I’d be running that k state QB more also.
