Well look what's trending this morning...

Well I said voluntary or forced. The school could tell him to do it or he's gone. I doubt they like the publicity they're getting.

Could they? Is it in his contract? They could fire him, but then he would get his buyout there too. Unless they defined "for cause" as him acting like himself, then they would be paying him whatever his buyout is. And even if there was something in his contract giving them the right to order him to counseling "or else," I suspect his response would be to gather the team at a local highschool and spend a good hour tearing down the school administration, so that he can go out like the winner that he is. He does not need the money (thanks to NU) so rather than follow YSU's demands, he would give them a giant middle finger, because nobody is going to tell him what to do. Can't believe that monkey was the head coach at NU.

There is nothing he could do to get fired for "cause". Everyone knows what he is, and all his lawyer would have to say is "you knew exactly what you were getting you idiots".

All I can say is it is a relief the networks no longer have to bring an extra "Riley-cam" to catch our coach's antics on the sideline. I mean, they could if they wanted, but it would make for damn boring TV.

To me, it looks like Pelini had a legitimate beef.

Reminds me of the Texas A&M game where it was obvious the refs weren't going to let Nebraska win. Ridiculously late flags are usually a sign that the refs were hoping they wouldn't have to throw it to influence the outcome of the game.
It might have been an iffy flag BUT there is no doubt that Bo cost his team a chance to come back and at least tie the game. He has absolutely no self control.

I could see telling if it was for the national championship, and it was maybe for a few cuss words. but carrying on for 15 minutes with every ref, for a north dakota-youngstown state game.

really?

This was my thought as well. Make your point known, then move on. But he never did. Even after the game before the handshake with the other coach he chased after an official... He does not have any control, nor does he know when to stop.

It was a bad PI call. But that happened, then several plays later they gave up a TD. They had time and two time outs to get down the field and tie or win. Ignorant of that fact, Bo is dog cussing refs to the point where he gets TWO 15-yarders called on himself as his offense is trying to have a game winning drive.

That's Bo in a nutshell. Stuck on screaming about whether one thing is right or wrong while the big picture falls apart around him. And he wonders why his teams can't seem to move on after a bad play...

It was interference, there are alot of pictures showing the defender pulling the receiver back. But that's beside the point, and I felt for those players. After the 2nd one the video showed a YSU player talking to the ref. The ref told him who it was on, and the player walked back to his huddle totally defeated. It's really funny, but also sad.

wow it's not everyday that the Youngstown State Penguins make the national news

articles in the Washington Post, CBSsports, and the sportingnews

congrats to Blo for making them relevant

It was also interesting to hear the sideline reporter point out that YSU radio commentators said that just make them uncomfortable and they (penguins) will implode.
