We need a sell out for the Spring Game as it is shaping up to be a...

Im guessing just the chance to see Patrick Obrein play and how legit he looks. That will sell a bunch of tickets. I know im all excited to see him man the offense and I'm hoping to see a kid play that doesn't look at all to be a true freshman.

So what's the word right now, whos sounding like there comming in? The only ones i know about is Gebbia, Holmes, and Johnson Jr. Who else is in on our spring game?

Coach made it a point to mention how important it was to get recruits here to see the campus early. I'm guessing that the staff will expend considerable energy to make that happen not only for the spring game, but with other camps/events between now and August.

How do people eat Dorothy Lynch salad dressing? That stuff is awful!
I don't even know how to respond to that?? We moved from Nebraska to Ohio when i was younger and we couldn't find Dorothy Lynch dressing outside of Nebraska. It was a traumatic experience for me and my family initially. Then when we would return to Nebraska to see family and friends, we would buy a case of DL to carry us through until the next trip to the motherland. Dorothy Lynch is the salad dressing by which all others are measured and no other comes close. I put that stuff on everything!

Sounds like my mom. She loves that stuff. She tried to order when we were in North Carolina and they were like WTF is Dorothy Lynch?? I had to remind her that is a Nebraska thing. LOL..

Dorothy Lynch is the Pizza Hut of salad dressings.

Whaaaaa?!?.... Okay, I can deal with you always telling me and others our choice of music sucks. But now you've crossed a line mister.

It was always on our table too, but I ALWAYS opted for Italian. Now balsamic vinaigrette or some sort of vinaigrette is all I do. Sweet salad dressings don't make sense to me. 'Sweet' is reserved for dessert. ;-)

Easiest recipe on the planet involves what we call in our house, simply,,, "Dorothy"

chicken
pkg onion soup mix
jar apricot preserves
Dorothy
Bake

yummmmm!!

I think you meant Valentinos of salad dressings if I am correct.

I was more so commenting on how bad Pizza Hut is, but I get your point. Do they have DL at the Val's salad bars?

DL is the best even my Texas born kids love it. They carry it in stores here in my area.

Fighting words in my house!

Seriously... on pork chops? I am on that! The sweetness of DL and a salty pork chop! Giddyup!
Yup. On grilled chops as a slight drizzle when ready to eat. Fantastic.

We brown hamburger and combine it with salad, kidney beans, crushed Doritos and then mix in Dorothy Lynch. Good stuff. We call it taco salad.
Gonna have to really stock up on the DL now. Good ideas for some good grub!

Can't do kidney beans, my kids would revolt! But some pinto beans as a sub should do nicely. Might throw some Fritos in there too. We are having this for dinner this week.

This works great for a potluck/picnic type of food. I also told you wrong. It is red beans and not kidney beans. You can also throw some shredded cheese and/or some onions in it if you prefer. It's quick and easy to make.

Born in Beatrice. Whole life spent in California and have not experienced said salad dressing. Next home game I'll have to check it out.

Pretty comical how a thread about the spring game suddenly turned into a discussion about salad dressing? Ha Laughing

Only on this site. Recruiting to Dorothy Lynch in like 3 posts.

DL is made by God's hand.

We do need to have a positive showing at the Speing Game and that hasn't been an issue recently. A lot of kids will be coming in for that.
In 30 years they will be talking about Sparky's with the same passion... Give me the Sparky's..Give each recruit a jar of Sparky's and they are ours....

For some reason the thought of mixing Sparky's sauce with apricot preserves makes me queasy.

Love Dorothy ! Did you know they published a cookbook with like 200 recipes? They are giving all proceeds to Team Jack. You can buy it on TJ website. Would be cool if they sold the cookbook at the spring game.

I actually received a phone call from a bar owner in western Neb. & his #1 wing sauce is 1/2 DL & 1/2 Sparkys. Tried it that night. It was actually really good.

Would rather put Sparky's on my salad than DL.

You might be onto something. Thanks.

How about some mango's & habaneros that are pureed.

Thanks again to everyone for the props.

Ok, i went to the DL website and did a zip code search and found DL dressing at my local Wal Mart here in DFW and bought two bottles. Made the taco salad tonight with it and it was superb. Where do i find Sparkys sauce in DFW?

Try a local Firehouse Subs. If they don't have it they will order it for you. Product #1340s. Or there is always my web site. Thanks for the kudos.

Ate that exact thing at least once a week growing up in Nebraska.

Here's an easy one. Mix 1 cup DL and 1 cup of your favorite barbeque sauce (doesn't matter if it's spicy, bourbon, KC) Put into crockpot with cocktail wieners. Cook. I sometimes add onion and green peppers but it's an awesome tailgate dish with no effort. First time I made it my nephew ate 1/2 of the batch in one sitting.
