The “run through the wall” mentality of great special teams will be back after a lengthy absence. Of course, he will still need to find good snappers, kickers and punters. But hopefully it won’t be too long before the return game is a weapon.

Ekeler insists on having a kick and punt return game, devises a scheme and practices the hell out of it all season long. Let's have each special teams unit out perform our opponent on game day. Hasn't happened in years. Our punt return unit looks like something that they put as much time into as onside kicks.
I can't even imagine what a legit special teams would do for our program. Ekeler was always enthusiastic about recruiting too. I think we have athletes that can make plays on special teams if given the chance.
That is the rumor about just about every coach, ever, for some reason. As if there's a "coaches' wives" message board where they all post their opinions all day for the public to read. I doubt it's true nearly as often as it's a rumor haha.
