We had kind of an unwritten retirement on it for maybe 10 years before it came back with his blessing IIRC
Pierson-El wore it, rose wore it, Torres wore it, Coleman/ Lynum this year, etc

Not sure how it works but some schools do not retire #'s and some schools have "rules" to have #'s hung up...like first team AA or something like that. I bet you can find out the rules if you google it.

Yes, Terry might've been the first to wear it after Johnny. We had two #15s this year. I think Pierson El was also 15.
Michael Rose-Ivey too. We always have 15s.
Johnny wanted Terry to wear 20 when he was heavily recruited by USC..
Terry wore number 20 at his dad's request. 20 and 64 have been worn but the only number that has not been in 73 years is Novak's #60

Seems like they unretired #20 for Terry, then came out saying we suit up too many players to retire numbers rather than jerseys.

According to last years roster, no one wore 20, 60 or 64. I have seen others wear 20 over the years.
We should allow hexadecimal jerseys numbers. That will give you 256 numbers.
