Was doing a little homework on VB recruiting so far this year with regard to the Huskers and came across some other team's results as well. I know many on RSS don't care but some do. So check this out.......
These young ladies are seniors in hs right now and have given a verbal as noted.
Huskers -
* Jazz Sweet/ #12 ranked player overall/ 6'3" southpaw RS (right side hitter)
* Chesney McClellan/ #26 ranked/ 6'3" MB
* Anezka Szabo/ #34 ranked/ 6'3" RS
Decent class but you might expect higher ranked girls for a defending Natty team.
Then I looked around the country at some other teams and there are two that are in the "Holy Shit" category...........
Horns -
* #1 ranked player/ 6'3"/ OH
* #2 ranked player/ 6'4"/ MB
* #6 ranked player/ 6'1"/ Setter
Then, almost as impressive, is Wisky.......
* #3 ranked player/ 5'11"/ Setter
* #8 ranked player/ 6'8"/ MB
* #17 ranked player/ 6'3"/ MB
* #19 ranked player/ 6'2"/ OH
* #37 ranked player/ 6'0"/ OH
(yes, a 6'8" MB)
Other top classes I could find where Minny/ BYU/ UCLA/ Kentucky.
Surprisingly, Stanford & PSU both had (imho) below average recruiting classes for this cycle.
Wisky just beat Tex-ass this past weekend and I think they and Minnesota are #s 2 & 3 behind our girls as of today's new poll. Sure looks like the B1G will continue to be the dominant conference for women's VB.
