Nebraska held private one-hour workouts with around 20 prospects on Friday. Here are updates from some of the different targets that worked out on Friday.

Since Scott Frost and crew arrived in Lincoln, the city of St. Louis has been a tough nut to crack when it comes to recruiting, but a local St. Louis recruit was in town today to work out in front of the Husker coaches.
"They invited me for a workout and an unofficial visit, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to show them how good I am and stuff," St. Louis (Mo.) Lutheran North defensive lineman Jaylen Banks said. "I also wanted to see the facilities because this is my first time in Nebraska."
Banks worked out with NU defensive line Coach Tony Tuioti, while head coach Scott Frost looked on.
"It was good and we got a lot of good work in! He said he liked what he saw. We did a lot of bag drills, footwork drills, and position-specific drills. Like, flipping your hips and stuff; and then running the forty, the shuttle. He said that I did well and he liked what he saw. And then the head coach, Coach Frost, told my dad he liked what he saw, too.
"I think I did the most well in the position drills, honestly. Because that's what I'm good at. I'm pretty good at a lot of these drills because I've done them many times before. I think I do well in getting extension with my long arms. My long arms really help me with my pass rush, as well as my being quick."
He currently has Power Five offers from Iowa State, Minnesota, Kansas, Syracuse, to go along with a tender from Memphis. In addition to Nebraska, he's also hearing from Wisconsin, Texas Tech and Wyoming.
"I visited Memphis last weekend for a camp, tour, and an unofficial. And then, I'm planning on visiting Syracuse sometime next month. I might also might go to Kansas for an unofficial.
"I liked all the facilities at Memphis, and the coaches there were nice. Coach Kyle Pope, their d-line coach, was nice. I liked the way they coached their drills and stuff. It was high-intensity."
He was also very impressed with Nebraska's facilities and setup for their athletes.
"I saw the nutrition, and we did like a psychological test where they tested our mindset. I saw the weight room and went around the lobby and saw that. I saw a lot. I really like it. I didn't expect it to look that good because when I think of Nebraska, I think of all farmland. But it was really nice!"
Big picture wise, Banks is in no rush to commit. He wants to see which other schools come through with offers for him during his senior campaign.
"I will probably have my decision made some time during my senior year. I want to make sure it feels like home, and to see how often they message me and stuff. Also, how quick I can get on the field."

Garrett Oakley had a full day at Nebraska starting with a private workout with coach Mike Dawson at 8:00 a.m. following by the Big Red BBQ at 1:00 p.m. He will finish his day at the Friday Night Lights camp from 6:00-8:00 p.m. where he will work at tight end.
At the BBQ, Oakley spent time talking with the coaches, playing yard games, talking to a college of business representative at the college fair and, of course, treated himself to a pull pork sandwich, ribs, brisket and potatoes.
Oakley committed to Northern Illinois in April where he would play tight end. He said he prefers to play tight end in college but worked out at outside linebacker with the Huskers. All the other schools that have contacted the 6-foot-5, 198-pound athlete wanted him at tight end, so receiving interest for his OLB abilities was different for Oakley.
“They put me outside linebacker today, which is a little bit different,” Oakley said. “But they were able to help coach me up and fine-tune some things and teach me some new things. Over overall, learn some new things today and had a good time.”
Even though Oakley is committed to Northern Illinois, he grew up in Nebraska and couldn’t resist an invitation to work out and spend some time on campus.
“Obviously, growing up in Nebraska, it's always been a dream of mine, just competing at Memorial Stadium and just seeing Nebraska for myself,” the Columbus native said. “So I guess I just wanted to compete with some good talent and have fun.”
Oakley will have a chance to compete in Memorial Stadium at Friday Night Lights as a tight end. HuskerOnline will have more on his performance following the event.

“I worked out with coach Fisher. He had me doing backpedal, breaking, box drills, some line drills, pedaling then opening up, breaking at a 45 and breaking at a 135. Coach Fisher said he liked it. I don’t know what his exact thoughts were but I felt like I did good.”
What other coaches did you speak with?

Wichita State (Kan.) East product Tobi Osunsanmi is listed as a safety recruit my Rivals, but all the schools that have offered him and are pursuing him are doing so for outside linebacker.
He was in Lincoln today to work out under outside linebackers Coach Mike Dawson.
"I just felt like this would be a good opportunity for me to show my skills to the coaches and I think it went pretty good. I ran well and I did pretty good in the drills. We did the forty, the shuttle, and all kinds of linebacker drills."
Osunsanmi did not know the results of any of his test scores, but he got good feedback from Coach Dawson.
"He said I did really good. I just need to make sure that I get low and use my arms to to guide where I go."
After his workout, Osunsanmi walked around the Huskers' facilities with his mother and sister on their own.
He currently has offers from Kansas State, Kansas, Northern Iowa, Akron and South Dakota State. The Jayhawks offered him before camp, and the Wildcats offered him after a camp.
"I am probably going to decide in late July, and my decision would based on how the coaches treat their players and how hard they recruit me. Nebraska said they would keep in touch with me, and they need to make sure it's the right thing to do to offer me because they are limited how in [scholarship] numbers."

2022 offensive line recruit Chad Schuster was a part of last Friday's workout schedule in Lincoln, but he finally just got back to us with his responses to how it went for him:
"I went because I wanted to compete and show off my skills to the Nebraska coaching staff and let them see first hand how much better I already am from last season and how much of an athlete I really am. I also really like the university, so this was a great opportunity to get out there and check it out first hand.
"I thought it went well. I put out some pretty good numbers for my testing and did pretty good, I believe, in our position specific drills. I worked out with Coach Austin, he said he really liked my flexibility and how coachable I was, and also that I was already very developed and have very good form in the techniques he was teaching me; which was because our high school’s current offensive line coach is the best in the business so he’s really helped me be able to get to where I am now.
"I was about 6’5 & 1/2 and 284 [pounds], and all I was really told was that I had a 27” vertical, but I felt like my 40 and pro agility times were both pretty good as well for my size. The only other school I’ve visited so far was an unofficial to Kansas, but I’m leaving for Syracuse on the weekend of the 18th for an official visit."
Schuster currently has one Power Five offer from Syracuse, as well as 8 others from the likes of Ball State, Buffalo and South Dakota.

=====================================================
One of the top junior college offensive tackle prospects for the class of 2022 is Fort Dodge Iowa Central's, Maximus McCree. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound McCree is from Kansas City and played his high school ball at Grandview (Mo.).
McCree currently holds offers from Syracuse, UAB and UMass. On Friday he got the chance to work out for the Nebraska coaching staff.
"I loved it," McCree said when asked about his workout. "I sprained my ankle in the Graphic Edge Bowl last month, but I still worked out today. I loved the coaches, the facilities and getting the chance to spend time with the staff.
"After the workout, Greg Austin said they will stay in touch with me."
McCree worked both right and left tackle on Friday. He's a December graduate, so he'll be one of the more attractive JUCO tackles on the board for the class of 2022.
Besides NU, both Auburn and Louisiana are also evaluating McCree. Next weekend McCree will take an official visit to Syracuse.
"I plan to take my recruitment into this season," McCree said. "I'd like to get the chance to take a couple of more fall official visits.
##################################
Arguably the top center prospect in junior college football worked out for Nebraska on Friday. El Dorado (Kan.) Butler C.C. Seth Falley will be going into his third year as a starter for the Grizzlies. He was a full academic qualifier from Haysville (Kan.) Campus High School just out of Wichita.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Falley worked out as a center for Greg Austin on Friday. Austin told him they need to get more center depth in their program long-term, and they will have one more offensive linemen target coming in this week on an official - Jake Maikkula.
"After that visit next week, he'll have a better idea on things," Falley said. "They don't have a lot of depth at center right now and they want to have some guys that can contribute in the future after Cameron Jurgens."
Even though Falley will be playing his third season at Butler, because of COVID he's a traditional 3-for-2 junior college prospect that gets out in December. Falley said guys joke that he's the old man on the team, as he'll turn 21 in September.
He likes the experience playing at Butler because the roster is mainly in-state players. 35 of their 80 players are from Kansas, which is more than the rest of the entire Jayhawk League combined. Most of the other schools have gone fully out-of-state, while the Grizzlies are more traditional with their approach, which helps them draw huge crowds still every week with so many local players on the team.
The only FBS offers Falley currently has is from UAB, but both NU and Virginia Tech are talking to him quite a bit. Middle Tennessee State is another Group of Five programs that has shown recent interest.
##################################
Papillion Lavista’s Will Hubert worked one-on-one with outside linebacker coach Mike Dawson on Friday. Hubert said Dawson already knew what Hubert was capable of but wanted to see him work in person.
“He told me I was on track and he just needed to see me and see what I can do,” Hubert said. “He said he pretty much knew the stuff I could do already. He said I looked good, hands were really good and the explosion was there.”
The 6-foot-3, 232-pound athlete said he felt good about his workout and that he performed to his abilities. He was also satisfied with Nebraska’s facilities specifically the weight room.
“I thought the weight room was really impressive,” he said. “I saw some dudes that were working out and they looked pretty big so they must be doing it right.”
Even though Hubert lives under an hour away from Lincoln, he has been to one Husker game in Memorial Stadium. He went to the Iowa game two years ago in which Nebraska lost 27-24 after a last-second field goal.
“I've never been in a stadium like that where it was that loud,” Hubert said. “That's like one of my favorite things is loud stadiums. It's probably one of the biggest crowds I've been into.
“It was pretty awesome to be able to sit and soak all that in. It was like, ‘wow’, especially at a high-intense game too versus Iowa. So, the emotions running high so all that energy in there, too. So that made it pretty cool.”
Hubert said he would love to return to Nebraska and can definitely see himself playing for a crowd that is as loud and as passionate as the Huskers.
He has offers from Buffalo, Columbia, Harvard, North Texas and Pennsylvania. Hubert is going to North Dakota State for a camp on June 19 and Kansas State for a camp on June 27. He plans to seriously consider his future school towards the end of the summer after he has wrapped up all his camp visits.
