Undersigning vs recruiting academic problems

I agree with a lot of posters on the undersigning problems. The thing I have more issue with is signing kids who have any issues with academics what so ever. We lost 2 or 3 last year alone. This I believe is much more preventable that missing on a recruit at the last minute.

What are your thoughts?
