Well, they are ACTIVELY trying to get to a new league...AAC apparently is the aim....yeah, the problem with bracketbusters is 'like schools' that really does not move the needle much. And I'm NOT bent about it much...I just am against 'old boys club' stuff.....
And to their credit, they have won 9 games in the past 5 tourneys....and their loss to Kentucky in '14 was Sports Illustrated's game of the year in ANY sport. They HAVE proven themselves.

I'm something of a Shocker fan, but I think their seeding is about right. You could argue that WSU would now beat the teams they lost to early in the season, but there's no way to know that. Michigan State has certainly improved since then, and WSU would be no lock to beat Louisville or Oklahoma State. The fact is that the Shockers only had a few chances to beat good teams, and they missed them. Usually the Valley has just enough decent teams that WSU gets the benefit of the doubt, but this year it was awful.

I think Wichita St had a much more valid complaint in '14 when they were a 1 seed and the NCAA put Kentucky as their 8 seed. That was pretty brutal.

I'm assuming you watch SOME basketball and understand the concept of gelling as a team. The Shockers lost two guards to the NBA, both of whom play with some frequency. In the early part of their season where they have a chance to play P5 comp, they were finding themselves, and did not capitalize against Michigan State (a 9...5 point loss), Louisville(a 2......10 point loss) or Okie State, which is arguably their worst loss. Their league stinks, which helps them none. I saw the Huskers probably 15 times(all on tv, not the best test) and saw them beat Maryland( a 6), Indiana at Indiana (at the time a good win) and Purdue( a 4). I BLEED Nebraska, but if you put those two teams in a gym together, it would be a rear end kicking of epic proportions.
BTW....find me those quotes of people who were 'outraged ' that they were ranked with 30 wins. I'd like to see them.
And the Illinois State thing? I'm not a fan of them, but wow.

Again considering they were 2-3 against P5 competition, I think you may be understating the number of potential losses they would have in a P5 conference.

Dayton WILL be a huge test...and I was only referencing the 3 or 4 more that the previous guy assigned them...I would probably give them more...just saying more losses in the Big10 would get them Maryland, NW TYPE SEEDING

All you have to do is look at Creighton's transition to the Big East to see what happens when a Valley team moves to the high major level. Without the national player of the year, they struggled in year 2 and have had to completely rebuild their roster to be competitive in that league.

I'm sorry, but that's about as ignorant a statement as you can make - and I'm no Big East apologist. They have been anywhere from No. 1 to No. 3, and finished with the No. 3 conference RPI this year, ahead of the Big Ten. They have the reining national champion and the overall No. 1 seed in the tournament this year, which incidentally earned that seeding by finishing No. 1 in RPI and BPI this year not because it is the reigning National Champ. 8 BE teams are top 62 BPI, and the 9th is 100. Half the league has a top 50 RPI, 8 are top 100 RPI, and 9 top 123. Just like in the Big Ten, teams 2 through 8 in the league won big out of conference and then beat up on each other in conference. This year the Big East and Big Ten tied for second most non-conference top 50 wins at 14 each. It took the Big East all of four years post-realignment to get there. No one is giving them the benefit of the doubt for what the Big East used to be. They earned what they got.

Syracuse 90, UNC-Greensboro 77

Syracuse took out its frustration at not being included in the NCAA Tournament field on the visiting Spartans, routing UNC-Greensboro behind a record-setting shooting performance by senior Andrew White III. The Orange improved to 19-14, including a 17-3 record at home while the Spartans’ season ends with a 25-10 overall mark.

Player of the game

• White hit 7-of-9 3-point shots to finish with a game-high 34 points and in the process became the school’s single-season record holder in made 3-point shots with 109. The graduate transfer from Nebraska was 11-of-15 overall from the floor and added six rebounds.
