Two point five rushing average, yes keep Running the ball, why?

Nebraska averaged 6.8 yards per pass attempt on 15 passes, and 2.5 yards per rushing attempt on 30 tries. Why and the hell were we trying to run the ball. The scouting reports suggests that we could not run the ball. Somebody needs to figure out a game plan to give the players a fair chance.
