100% - frustrating it isn’t transferring to the scoreboard. Hopefully we will see it start this weekend and finish strong. Satt needs to find something ASAP.we're taking better care of the ball (+10 net turnover margin), but it's only translating to a 1% increase in ppg
something's got to give
If we were gonna have almost 1/2 the season turnovers in one game, it may as well have been in a 56-7 ass whipping.2024 through 8 games:
Forced 12 turnovers
Gave away 11 turnovers
+1 on the year
2023 through 8 games:
Forced 10 turnovers
Gave away 19 turnovers.
-9 on the year
Tough week against Indiana losing 5 in that game. Hopefully we get back on track this weekend.
Was thinking the exact same when I was pulling the data together. If we were gonna have almost 1/2 the season turnovers in one game, it may as well have been in a 56-7 ass whipping.
When you're pulling things, it's hard to see the bigger picture. Was thinking the exact same when I was pulling the data together.
I'm trying to dig into the disconnect100% - frustrating it isn’t transferring to the scoreboard. Hopefully we will see it start this weekend and finish strong. Satt needs to find something ASAP.
worth noting we're 5-8 in red zone FGAs.I'm trying to dig into the disconnect
here's the biggest culprit:
4 redzone trips/game this year (29th nationally) compared to just 2.3 redzone trips/game last year (127th nationally)
67.86% redzone scoring (TDs+FGs) (130th nationally (out of 133)) compared to 74.07% redzone scoring last year (113th nationally)
we are f*cking atrocious in the red area, and that is putting it kindly.
simply being average would have this team scoring closer to 40ppg than 20ppg given our near-elite volume.

Well, turnover margin also needs to include missed FGs, and turnover on downs....since those are exactly the same outcome as fumbling or an INT.we're taking better care of the ball (+10 net turnover margin), but it's only translating to a 1% increase in ppg
