Yeah I didn’t expect that but Fridays have been rough. We can’t keep getting behind the eight ball.
So far this game is right on brand for a Creighton-Nebraska matchup in the Will Bolt era. Creighton plays well and Nebraska implodes. 4 runs on 1 hit for Creighton in the top of the 4th.

A six run deficit with 18 outs to go is hardly insurmountable. But we NEVER put up runs against Creighton. We haven't scored 8+ since 2018, and that was in a 12-9 loss.
I'm just so irritated that Creighton consistently brings an edge to these games and Nebraska does not.

And to an extent, same with UNO. The talent gap there is a little wider so Bolt's record isn't quite as pathetic against the Mavs as it is vs Creighton but. . .still. Something isn't right here.

This isn't "aggressive" baserunning, Bolt. It's "stupid as motherf***ing sh*t".
Creighton is a really well coached team. That’s why they own Bolt. They never beat themselves
Claw back to within two runs and give up two runs (and counting) in the top of the 9th. On brand vs. Creighton.
Someday Nebraska will be good enough to win 2/3 against Creighton.

The tying run was at second base with no outs and they couldn’t bring him in.
Just like about 85% of the games this season. Even worse (and also recurring), striking out on a pitch 8 miles out of the zone.
