One nice thing about being at the game. This announcer is awful
UNO is 7-14 against teams not named Nebraska or Northern Colorado. they routinely get lit up by other power 5 schools. And the Huskers can’t find a pitcher on the roster who can shut them down. Baseball can be very random, but this is just awful. One nice thing about being at the game.

Unfortunately that is true but not sure who they’d schedule. I think we need to play Missouri and KState. We also need to quit with the horrible home series in March and play a legit team on the road and just hope to steal a win is all.Probably time to stop scheduling Omaha.. no upside
I said we would do enough to erase the early innings so hopefully we can do it one more time.Hope they can pull this off..
Yep. Have no choice now as I assume our RPI just dropped big time. At least that is the approach that have to take at this point.Win the Big Ten or bust
I didn’t want to look but ouch.RPI took a ding. Moved from 78 to 94. No improvement expected this weekend. Probably move to 100+. We fans are just screwed.
Gonna backtrack here a little. We do have a chance to improve RPI some this weekend. I looked into this a little deeper b/c a 16 spot drop after one game is too steep a fall after losing to a 10-14 team. 10-14 is too close to .500 to be terrible.RPI took a ding. Moved from 78 to 94. Maryland lost to Georgetown last night, and I had the same inclination...I didn’t want to look but ouch.
We play NW rpi 268 at home this weekend.. best case scenario is we somehow stay two-digit rpi .. I do agree we‘ll have some chances to get back to under 80, but those chances are fleetingGonna backtrack here a little. We do have a chance to improve RPI some this weekend. Found out that nine of our opponents played on Tuesday and came away 3-6 for a .333 win percent. That will dent the SOS enough to account for much of our drop. SOS is 75% of RPI.
Point being, they performed well below their own average and can be expected to return to the mean even as early as this weekend, depending on opponents played this weekend of course, but hiccups like that always even out.
Saw this happen before a few years ago where Tue/Wed games of our opponents came out spectacularly well and we actually moved from 22-ish to 11..., until the weekend came. Ha ha, then we were right back into the mid 20s.
It's tough surviving a B1G schedule...We play NW rpi 268 at home this weekend.. best case scenario is we somehow stay two-digit rpi .. I do agree we‘ll have some chances to get back to under 80, but those chances are fleeting
Please tell me that was sarcasm....you really never know anymore. It's tough surviving a B1G schedule...
I think it was sarcasm. I want to give credit to the Big Ten for being a 4 bid league on average but lets be honest, not making the tourney last year was a kick in the $&@. This year we need to sweep the bottom feeders and win 2/3 against Iowa and possibly Maryland to make it to a regional. We will see. We are just fans. Please rell me that was sarcasm....you really never know anymore.
I cant give credit to a power 5 conference only getting 4 teams in. Thats embarrassing to me. Ever since Nebraska joined the Big 10 they should never have finished lower than 3rd in this conference. Even in the strong years where a team made it to the CWS.I think it was sarcasm. I think once usc and ucla joins it will be considered a power Conf .. just as long as NW drops its programI cant give credit to a power 5 conference only getting 4 teams in. Thats embarrassing to me. That is because the Big Ten doesn't care about baseball. They get 4-5 teams in it in spite of that fact. The Sun Belt cares more about baseball than the Big Ten. The NCAA also makes it tough to schedule outside of your region for midweek games due student attendance rules.I cant give credit to a power 5 conference only getting 4 teams in. What I meant was that there are so many RPI killers on that schedule that you practically have to go undefeated to get noticed...Please tell me that was sarcasm....you really never know anymore.
Bringing in USC and UCLA should lift the profile of the conference. I'm hopeful that their addition, along with the new commissioner having worked for MLB for a dozen years, will increase the level of "caring" about baseball by the league office. That is because the Big Ten doesn't care about baseball. I too don't feel like even Nebraska has gone all in on baseball otherwise they would charter a plane to fly south for midweek competition.
I do agree that Nebraska should almost always finish in the top 3 of the conference however.
