KSU's Bill Snyder used to catch a lot of flack for taking so many JUCO players that had shown what they could do. Is the transfer portal the "new" JUCO? You see what people can do at other schools and then offer them to come to yours?

It’s an additional route. Juco still exists and will remain important to many programs and players.

kinda, except it costs a lot more..

I'm legitimately curious what percentage of them actually 'work out'.. kind of hard to define what that means, but have we had any portal transfers make major impacts? That WR that MJ brought in for one year was good. I suppose there are some others.. the Center did ok I guess.. is it 1 out of 5 work out, or 1-9?

There has been Samari Toure at WR, Brian Buschini and Timmy Bleekrode I would say turned out. You mention the WR , Trey Palmer.
Definitely far more didn’t pan out, for example Ochuan Mathis the highly touted DE from TCU.
