Sprinters / Hurdlers Top Husker times this season: 100M = 11.72, 200M = 23.91 400M= 55.66
100M hurdles = 13.50
Chanel Freeman Hallandale, Fl. She ran a 13.63 sec. time in the 100M hurdles in late February which makes it one of the top 20 times in the country. She missed the remainder of the spring season.
La'Kayla Harris Miami, Fla. Came in second at the state championships with a 11.56 sec. 100M and a 23.67 sec. 200M. In May she came in third in the Prefontaine Elite HS 200M.
Lamisha Simmons Hallandale, Fl. She placed second in the State Championships with a 13.81 sec. 100M hurdles and a 43.83 sec. 300M. The Nebraska high school record in the 100M hurdles is 13.87 sec. Her best time in the 300M is 42.84 sec.
Quashira McIntosh Providence, R.I. She won 3 state titles this spring. She ran the 100M in 11.82 sec., the 200M in 24.32 sec, and the 400M in 55.44 sec.
Ashleigh Carr | Oakland, NE. She won the All Class Gold in the 300M with a Class C record time of 43.29 sec.
Jasmine Barge Florissant, MO. She had two first place finishes and a second at this year’s state championships. She won the 100M hurdles in 14.38 sec. and the 300M hurdles in 42.86 sec. Jasmine placed second in the 200M in 24.79 sec. She has personal bests of 14.71 sec and 41.43 sec.
Throws
Kristina Insingo | Floral Park, NY. Set a shot put PR of 46’ 2 ½” at the State Sectionals. Set a PR in April with a discus throw of 147’6”
Tianna Hausman Beatrice, NE Has a personal best discus throw of 151’3”(#24 in the country) She came in third at the state championships in the All Class rankings.
Alice Akers Bodyke, Clare, Ireland Has a best hammer throw of 180’
Kate Birchmier Bloomfield, Iowa She won the shot put 2A state title with a Class2A record of 43’9”
Shelby Brown Lincoln, NE. At this year’s state championships Shelby placed first in the discus with a 143’7” throw and second in the shot put with a toss of 43’ 3 1/2'”
Brittni Wolczyk Port Coquitlam, British Columbia Has a personal best in the javelin of 160’3”.
Jumps
Tierney Lindner Sun Prairie, Wisconsin She placed second at the state meet in the high jump at 5’7”. In the conference meet she had a jump of 5’10”.
Nicole Baker Gilbert, Ariz. Nicole won the state championship with a pole vault of 12’9”. Her personal best is 13’ 4 ¼”.
Distance
Ashley Geisler San Clemente, CA Placed 14th in the 3200M at this year’s California Sectionals with a time of 11:24.50.
Nicole Colonna Los Altos Hills, CA. Finished 5th at the D5 State Cross Country Meet . Finished 15th in the 800M California Sectionals.
Miranda Kennedy Clovis, CA. Came in 40th at last fall’s D1 State Cross Country Meet. I could not locate any outdoor results after March 20 of this year. Her PR in the 1600M is 4:57.85 run in the spring of 2014.
MEN
Mid Distance
Ty Moss Naperville, IL. Ty won the state title in the 800M with a time of 1:51.8 sec. His personal best is 1:50.52 sec.
Sprints/Hurdles
Oliver Alexandre Hallandale, FL. He came in second at the state meet in the 200M with a time of 21.65 sec and first in the 400M with a time of 48.06 sec. He has a personal best in the 400M of 47.38 Sec. and a PR of 21.33 sec in the 200M.
Luke Siedhoff | Crete, NE. Won the All Class Gold this season. In the 110M hurdles with a time of 14.09 sec. He has a PR of 13.90 sec.
Jumps
Kevin Cahoy | Grand Island, NE. He won the All Class Gold in the pole vault with a jump of 16’ ¼”
Odaine Lewis | Montego Bay, Jamaica He won this year’s triple jump at the Penn Relays with a jump of 50’5”. His PR is 52’ ½”
