If Jeff Monken is even under consideration, that tells me that at least 50 other coaches have already turned us down.

It is all rumors and speculation. Same as on here. They don’t know shit about what is going on. None of us do.

They (Sipple) say Baylor will pay whatever it takes to keep him and he will stay.

They also say Stoops and Klieman are interested. However, the writers over there mostly seem to be on the Mickey Joseph train. Just an FYI. Maybe they know, maybe not.

We can only hope it is Mickey.

I would be willing to make a bet that you are right. Monken is not even under consideration and never was.

Klieman might be the best for us. He seems to coach tough, hard nosed football. Man I hate K-State, but they look like 10 times the team we have, probably with lesser talent.

Martinez and Warner could be grad assistants.....

We are talking about the wrong coach Monken. We need Todd Monken, the current OC at Georgia. He has been a college head coach (in three years turned Southern Mississippi from an 0-12 team to 9-5), offensive coordinator at numerous colleges and has extensive NFL OC experience. He is from Wheaton, IL and still has connections to high school coaches there.
If Trev is targeting a Monken, it should be Todd Monken.

That’s one of those names that has eluded the masses who could be a very good hire

Honestly his record at Army isn't overly impressive. Kind of like Mike Riley's record at Oregon State.

I wonder if the five year military commitment and the higher admissions requirement hampers their recruiting.
