Top Ten for Huskers next week?

Fortunately the days where polls matter are (mostly) over.

I think Nebraska isn't all that different from last year but they've found a way to execute in the fourth quarter. They are 5-0. Iowa isn't all that different from last year but they have had different outcomes.

Nebraska isn't even close to as good as the top 6 programs this year. That's why it feels so weird to be ranked 9. But there is a pretty hard drop off from the top 6 to the rest.

Bama, Ohio State, Clemson, Washington, Michigan, and Louisville and maybe A&M are simply more explosive than any other team out there.

Look at Michigan State who was ranked 8 after a ND win. It turns out ND wasn't that good and Sparty was exposed. I'm fearful the same may happen to Nebraska and usually I'm the biggest sunshine pumper there is for Nebraska.

We will be extremely fortunate to come out with a win next week...we will be banged up and our game plan will likely resemble that so its gonna be a toss up ...just hope we win ugly and get out without any more injuries

I'm going to guess that we will run a lot and keep the Hoosiers off the field. Throw in some PAP and that is a recipe for victory. Hopefully, that will allow us to heal in time for Wisky.

Extremely fortunate to win next week? No. We will be extremely fortunate to come up with a win against Ohio State, not Indiana. Saying that you will be extremely fortunate to win a game implies that under almost any normal circumstance you should expect to lose and its only some luck or fluke play that is going to get you to win. Come on people, don't make Indiana out to be something they are not.

Hope not. We really don't have a good win to deserve it. I would vote Tennessee above the Huskers.

Don't forget about Miami losing. We should be #9. Tennessee had 8 turnovers and still almost won. I'd drop both them and Texas a&m

Good teams don't have 8 turnovers and good teams don't almost lose to teams that have 8 turnovers

This is beginning to look eerily similar to another team from last year who managed most everyone on their schedule until late in the year.

I'm the same. I don't have the confidence that we will get past either Wisconsin or Ohio State, and I'm pretty nervous about the Indiana game.

We will be at #10. Are we over rated? Hard to tell out side of the top 5. Iowa was really over rated last year and maybe so are we. We need to beat Indiana and get(stay) healthy to find out just what we are. I, for one am enjoying the ride. GBR
