Top 22 "Athletes" in the 2014 Recruiting Class - Where Are They Now?

Took all guys rated 4-stars or better - that's how I ended up with 22.

Several busts here, but this is pretty typical for Rivals' "Athletes" lists. As I mentioned in the WR thread, Rivals' WR and ATH lists typically have the highest percentage of busts.

Ohio State signed three guys on this list - all three ended up as starters for Urban Meyer.

Two guys (#1 and #7) were NFL first round draft picks (at least so far).

Adoree' Jackson certainly earned his 5-star rating

1.) Adoree' Jackson, Southern Cal; 5-stars, 6.1 RR, #6 on the Rivals 100, #1-overall prospect in California; Three-year starter at cornerback for the Trojans who also excelled as a WR and kick returner for USC; Jim Thorpe Award winner and a first-team All-American in 2016, and a 2x first-team All-Pac 12 selection (2015 and 2016); Finished career with 84 tackles and an INT, 37 receptions for 552 yards and 5 TDs, two TDs on kickoff returns, and 2 TDs on punt returns; Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2016, and Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2014; Jackson declared early and was taken in the first round (18th player selected overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

Bama's 3rd-leading rusher in 2017

2.) Bo Scarbrough, Alabama; 5-stars, 6.1 RR, #16 on the Rivals 100, 4th-best prospect in Alabama; Bama's 3rd-leading rusher in 2017 with 124 carries for 596 yards and 8 TDs; Ran for 812 yards and 11 TDs on 125 carries as Derrick Henry's backup in 2016; Appeared in 7 games in 2015 after returning from a knee injury.

3.) Ronnie Clark, Alabama; 4-stars, 6.0 RR, #48 on the Rivals 100, 6th-best prospect in Alabama; Reserve tailback who had 107 yards and a TD on 21 carries in 2017; Has appeared in 9 games total over three seasons after redshirting in 2014; Has been dogged with injuries, having torn each of his Achilles tendons.

4.) Michiah Quick, Oklahoma; 4-stars, 5.9 RR, #76 on the Rivals 100, 7th-best prospect in California; Now at Fresno State, where he sat out the 2017 season due to NCAA transfer regs; Spent 2014 and 2015 as a WR at Oklahoma and had 34 receptions for 340 yards and a touchdown over those two seasons; Moved to cornerback in 2016 and started two games there.

5.) Davion Hall, Baylor; 4-stars, 5.9 RR, #116 on the Rivals 250, 13th-best prospect in Texas; Spent 2014 and 2015 as a reserve WR for Baylor, and then moved to safety where he started a total of 11 games between 2016 and 2017; Finished career with 20 receptions for 287 yards and 2 TDs, and 110 tackles, 2 TFL, and one forced fumble.

6.) Kalen Ballage, Arizona State; 4-stars, 5.9 RR, #133 on the Rivals 250, 2nd-best prospect in Colorado; A running back, Ballage finished his career with 450 carries for 1,984 yards and 27 TDs, and 82 receptions for 684 yards and 2 receiving TDs; Toolsy kid whose tools never translated into production - an NFL scout said of him, "he has the body of an NFL every-down back, but plays like a 3rd-down back."

7.) Marshon Lattimore, Ohio State; 4-stars, 5.9 RR, #134 on the Rivals 250, 3rd-best prospect in Ohio; Started one year (2016) at cornerback for Ohio State and was named 1st-team All-Big Ten that season; Missed time in 2015 with hamstring injuries, and redshirted in 2014; Was taken in the first round (11th overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

8.) Marquis Ware, Arizona; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #163 on the Rivals 250, 18th-best prospect in California; No longer in football, having played two games; A severe shoulder injury suffered in high school persisted through college and Ware finally had to take a medical in 2016.

9.) Noah Brown, Ohio State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #218 on the Rivals 250, 3rd-best prospect in New Jersey; Starting WR at Ohio State for one year (2016); Missed all of 2015 with a broken leg; Had 33 receptions for 411 yards and 7 TDs in his career; Declared early and was taken in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

10.) Dareian Watkins, Wisconsin; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #239 on the Rivals 250, 10th-best prospect in Ohio; Never played a down of college ball; Left Wisconsin twice during the summer of 2014, claiming that he was homesick and no longer wanted to play football.

11.) Devin Voorhies, Louisiana State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, #244 on the Rivals 250, 5th-best prospect in Mississippi; A reserve LB at LSU, Voorhies was mostly a special teams player in Baton Rouge; Appeared in 32 career games with 17 tackles and two forced fumbles.

12.) T.J. Harrell, Michigan State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 38th-best prospect in Florida; Mostly appeared on special teams over the past three years and redshirted in 2014; Was a reserve nickel late in the 2017 season.

13.) Jimmy Bayes, South Florida; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 39th-best prospect in Florida; Has appeared in 15 games as a reserve LB and special teams player at USF; Has 9 tackles in his career; Spent plenty of time in Willie Taggart's doghouse when Taggart was the coach.

14.) Chris Lammons, South Carolina; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 40th-best prospect in Florida; Four-year starter for the Gamecocks and was used at cornerback, safety, and nickel during his career; Also served as the team's primary punt returner.

Two-year starter at WR for the Buckeyes

15.) Parris Campbell, Ohio State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 12th-best prospect in Ohio; Two-year starter at WR for Urban Meyer; Had 40 receptions for 584 yards and 3 TDs in 2017; Redshirted in 2014 and has one more year of eligibility left.

16.) Stanton Truitt, Auburn; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 21st-best prospect in Georgia; Now at North Carolina, where he missed the entire 2017 season due to injury; In three years at Auburn, he was a reserve WR and RB.

17.) Jay Scheel, Iowa; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 3rd-best prospect in Iowa; No longer in football due to recurring knee injuries; Played one season (2016) at Iowa, where he was a reserve WR and had 5 receptions for 56 yards; Redshirted in 2014 and did not appear in any games in 2015.

18.) Tyler Whiley, Arizona State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 7th-best prospect in Arizona; Now a reserve "Spur" linebacker and has six tackles in his career.

19.) Terry Googer, South Carolina; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 24th-best prospect in Georgia; A reserve WR, Googer announced earlier this month that he was done with football due to a head injury suffered against Texas A&M last year; Finished career with 12 receptions for 140 yards.

20.) Raymon Minor, Virginia Tech; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 10th-best prospect in Virginia; A reserve defensive end, Minor has appeared in 12 games over two seasons at VaTech and has 2 career tackles; Left the program in 2016 and then returned as a walk-on.

21.) Koa Farmer, Penn State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 30th-best prospect in California; Starting LB for Penn State in 2017 and had 48 tackles, 10 TFL, 4 sacks, and one forced fumble on the season; Key reserve in 2016 who started two games; Kickoff returner in 2015; Redshirted in 2014.

22.) Jamoral Graham, Mississippi State; 4-stars, 5.8 RR, 7th-best prospect in Mississippi; Spent 2017 as a starting cornerback at Division II Delta State in Mississippi, where he was first-team all-conference; Spent three seasons at Mississippi State where he was both a corner and a WR; Was arrested for DUI on New Year's Eve, 2016.

39.) Luke Gifford, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 4th-best prospect in Nebraska; Had 39 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and an INT as an outside LB for the Huskers in 2017; Appeared in four games in 2016 as a reserve; Missed the 2nd half of 2015 with a hip injury; Redshirted in 2014.

NR) Jaevon Walton, Nebraska; 3-stars, 5.6 RR, 28th-best prospect in Louisiana; Never played a down of college football; Spent a couple of weeks in Lincoln during the summer of 2014 and then went home to New Orleans; Enrolled at FCS Northwestern State in Louisiana for a semester and then enrolled at Iowa Western CC; Has never been heard from since; One of the infamous Edna Karr Trio.
