Let me get this out of the way: I think what we already have signed/committed is a successful class, especially given the circumstances. We have a few more needs that look likely to be met, so it would take a lot of things going wrong for me to feel anything but content down the road (after some sober reflection).
That being said, I think I'm not alone in unintentionally drifting towards optimism and stargazing over whom we'll sign tomorrow. Psychologically, that usually means you start thinking of players you don't actually have as ones you've already got. An example of this already unfolding is the JJB discussion given the breaking news about tOSU and aTm. It would be the same if we started to hear about, for example, Herm making a late push and gaining ground on Washington. Most of us already sort of view him as N, but what matters, of course, is the signature tomorrow.
So even though I'm likely to fail spectacularly, I'm really going to try to take everything with a grain of salt today and keep my expectations low. I'd like each signature we receive tomorrow to be like a pleasant surprise. But again, tough to do. I wish everyone luck in weathering the storm.
