No clue. I have to wonder about Fidone but I'm fine with him coming back. I don't know the details on Markway, Flynt or Ingwerson - hopefully one of them is a bulldozer type like Lindenmeyer.

I could see Rhule hoping to keep all seven. We don't have any new TE's coming in with the next class. Some NFL teams keep four TEs these days in their 53 man roster and all teams roster at least four TEs at some point due to injury. So keeping seven TEs on a roster of 105 makes sense to me, especially when a couple of those guys can help at other spots.

I’m guessing at least one AFTER spring.

Lots of fighting for roster spots should make for a very competitive spring, which is needed.

Don't expect rational thought from that one. Fidone absolutely is a valuable player when used right. Only an idiot wouldn't see the difference in his role pre-Holgorsen vs post-Holgorsen.
I'll give you this, he did look better in the bowl game and in Holgorsen's scheme. He's still a monster liability in the run game and seems to have zero acceleration and lateral movement. For me, I could care less if he stays or goes. I like the depth, I just cringe when I watch him try to block. If he could shore that piece up I'd love to have him stay.

Rotate those big bodies constantly through to wear down the edge rusher and then call the slip screen occasionally . (OK, not Fidone, sorry)

If you can’t block consistently, you can’t be on the field. Period.

Be careful, mamma Fidone will come at you bro.

Frankly, I don’t care if Fidone moves on. For all his hype, he isn’t that good. He is decent+ I would say.
But if they all stay, that’s good, we’d have a nice mix of older and younger guys.
The question going into spring ball is, are Flynt and Ingwerson players? Also, I really think Nelson needs to add 15 pounds and be a TE that can exploit the seam. He’s not going to be a high end WR. IMO.

Makes me wonder what could have been without the injuries. I feel like he lost alot of his explosiveness coming off of those.

If he is still here, Dana can get the most out of him. He just needs to be in the vertical game, and nothing horizontal. He has shown that he can catch the ball. At this point, we do likely have the room for all of our contributors in the 105 next Fall.

Given that about 55 players would be considered contributors, we have 50 more spots for younger developing players.

Do you say the same about Barney who had less yards per catch than Fidone??
I’m not disagreeing with your defending of Fidone, but this is a poor comparison. Barney’s yards per catch are dragged down by poorly blocked screen passes.

You say you want a guy that shows up on game day, it is immediately pointed out to you that he showed up just a couple days ago on game day, and you admit it. You are a clown.
Yards after catch were abysmal in the bowl game. Blocking again was subpar. I expect a much higher standard from our TEs that #24 hasn't come close to meeting.

He had many good blocks in the bowl game, and had yards after catch n a key moment backed up against our end zone on a short pass.
You are full of shit.

I agree. Completely different opinion of his play the last month. He's being set up for success more frequently.

No one on the team was used incorrectly more than Fidone. All those short passes at the line where he was expected to make multiple people miss and get up field. At least making people miss is Barney's forte.
