It's totally embarrassing, never said it wasn't. I just think that these kids should expect the crazies to come out when they act like that.
You expect immature behavior from kids. Adults should know better.

High school senior ball player=17 year old kidWhile I totally agree that no one should be tweeting at recruits I do find it hilarious when these high school guys complain about fans tweeting at them. Same recruits who all but beg for people to follow them and constantly tweet things at every fan base making them believe they are coming to their school. Doesn't justify the troll tweeting from some fans but how these kids don't expect it is beyond me.
Of course! So, by virtue of Tennessee's recent victory over Nebraska, that makes them the true #1, right?
This is more explanation than excuse. I think a lot of young people these days think that because someone tweets at ya, responds on facebook, etc. that somehow this person is now a "friend". I don't understand the thought process personally. And to me it seems like self promoted stalking.
Now if you're an adult and you're doing this kind of stuff, you should know better.
Best post on the thread so far. You nailed the difference and why anyone tweeting back to these kids is most likely an immature wannabe. No the kids know it's just a way to communicate. They probably put too much importance on how many follows or likes they get, but rest assured they don't think of most of their followers as friends. Or think those thatbtheybfollow are friends.
It's the 30s and 40s that think they are friends because they follow.
Well I found a Husker jersey at the same institution he did. The difference is I got mine IN the store and paid for it.You guys need to stop bagging on Rick. Ever since he left this board, I haven't been able to find a decent deal on gently used bowl game sweatshirts.
You mean you're supposed to put clothes IN the donation bin? Who knew?Well I found a Husker jersey at the same institution he did. The difference is I got mine IN the store and paid for it.

Here's your sign....
Well...it took me a while to figure it out too.You mean you're supposed to put clothes IN the donation bin? Who knew?
Yeah. I was too snarky. My apologies.People really have poor reading comprehension on here. Let me quote my own posts:
"I totally agree that no one should be tweeting at recruits"
How the recruits act "Doesn't justify the troll tweeting from some fans"
The way adults tweet at recruits: "It's totally embarrassing, never said it wasn't."
so....Here is your sign.
No worries. I get that way a lot too.Yeah. I was too snarky. My apologies.
Kind of like a sexy woman in a tight dress yelling at you for looking at her butt lolWhile I totally agree that no one should be tweeting at recruits I do find it hilarious when these high school guys complain about fans tweeting at them. Bingo. I was wondering the same thing. Two great historic programs who have fallen into mediocrity. Two rabid fan bases desperate for relevance.Anyone ever think we are the most annoying, because like Tennessee we used to be great. So unlike those other teams, we are more desperate then the other teams! It has been 15+ years since we have been relevant, you are going to have fans that are crazy as s***!
Yeah-like I made clear in another thread, I think tweeting at recruits is kind of creepy and actually can be counterproductive, but let's not act like we are somehow alone in this regard, or really even worse than other teams, despite what one poll may say.The abuse that Lindsey took from tOSU fans on twitter was at least on par with anything NU fans have dished out.
You are an adult when you turn 18. Just for context.
Thanks for the heads up. Contrary to popular opinion, I don't read every comment. That poster is creepy at best. He actually believes he has a relationship with these kids. The fact that he sees nothing wrong shows a detach from reality. Didn't rick924 have similar problems separating online from the real world?
Can you guys start another thread for your healthcare discussion? It's far OT.
It's my thread and I'll cry if I want to...Can you guys start another thread for your healthcare discussion? It's far OT.
No, I will just make it relevant to the topic..... Twitter users who have opposing opinions on healthcare, much like Nebraska and Tennessee fans, can be annoying. How can we get Twitter users that tweet recruits and about the ACA to stop?
It's my thread and I'll cry if I want to...
Besides, what else can be said about the twittering nitwits? I think we are all pretty much in agreement on that one.
There... I too have combined both discussion streams....

I think there is actually. Is there a way to unsubscribe to a thread?
But to actually get back on topic...Is there a way to unsubscribe to a thread?
I don't think those are our two choices.I was thinking about this and I'd rather have annoying than being non-existent!
Yeah. Seems like a normal and harmless Tweet to me.What's wrong with that?
I don't see the comedy in it at all.Yeah. Seems like a normal and harmless Tweet to me.
Don't be upset. Your importance in the University will potentially be very damaging for me.Just a big ol douchbag to everybody.
You're losing it. Calm down. The University cannot stand to have someone of your significance and stature to have a mental collapse. Not upset at all Rainbow flag waver! You and your boyfriend have a wonderful night.
