I went to Bucknell as an undergrad but I did go down to a few IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) games with some friends when Cignitti was coaching there. He had some good seasons for the Hawks and I'm not at all surprised his career is continuing in an upward trajectory.
Never heard of the dude till this year, but in 13 seasons he’s never had a losing season. He doesn’t seem to care that Indiana has no history of winning football.
He had a lot of bold words when he was hired at Indiana. But here he is delivering right away.
I thought it takes at least 3 seasons to turn a program around. You know, change the culture, get the right players, strength and conditioning.
He's a winner for sure. Has Indiana off to a great start this year even if the schedule hasn't been the toughest. Not sure what his contract situation is but I wouldn't doubt to see him at a higher profile football school in a couple years.
His mojo and opportunities came to him comparatively late in life. Indiana may benefit from this if he can stay healthy and motivated,
He’s got that young Urban Meyer energy, which is scary.
As if 20 years of it wasn't enough. The fans were certainly humbled, humiliated really. The OL practically handed their 5* QB to the ILions in OT. Humbled is not a strong enough term.
