This is personal

he's right

it is personal, just like everything when it comes to Nebraska Football

Has this been discussed?

I've learned the serious nature of this rivalry, and I'm embracing it 100%," he added. "This is personal. That's the message of the week. This is personal."

LOL hopefully they have all watched the highlights of Suh introducing Cody Hawkins to the turf while trying to take him down. I'd be ok watching Nash or Ty give one of those to the Sanders kid.

"This is personal" -deon

I have it on good authority that Matt Rhule had sexual congress with deon's mom and never called her back. He also kicked deon's childhood dog and drank his capri sun on the way out the door.

Perhaps Mr. Sanders is a touch smarter than we all give him credit for actually being. Colorado is the media hype, so Sanders takes the focus off the team and slings it on to his shoulders.

Oklahoma was our true rival. Colorado has always been the little brother who felt left out. Take a hike potheads.

And Texas is theirs. Stop living in the past man. That mentality is what’s killing this program.

I LOVE having a real rivalry game for the first time in what feels like forever. And no, Iowa doesn’t count and never has.

The OU/biggest rival thing is also somewhat revisionist history. During the best decade in NU football history (the 90s), the CU and KSU were much bigger threats than OU. OU was cycling through coaches that decade until Stoops righted the ship. The NU-OU rivalry we romanticize about basically died in the late 80s.

Come on, man, Texas was ONE of their rivals. Don’t even pretend that Nebraska wasn’t a rival every bit as important as Texas for the Big 8 era. One of those two teams won the conference 95% of the time.

Oklahoma never viewed Nebraska the way Nebraska has traditionally viewed Colorado.

I get that you’re trying to make a point, but it’s not your best argument.

Did OU and UT used to play every year? Like in the 70's and 80's?

Not sure. I’m assuming they did though.

And for Lando, I’m not trying to diminish the OU/UT rivalry. Huge rivalry. But you can’t characterize NU/OU as an NU/CU rivalry. CU (and to an extent, KSU) eventually replace OU because of the Big 12 scheduling, but that’s it.

Iowa is more a rival then fricking colorado. Same conference bro! I don't give to craps about colorado. If Dion wasn't their head coach and they weren't talking smack. This game would hold the same intrigue as playing KSU or Kansas again.

LOL at your stop living in the past.
