Unless the NCAA puts a limit to the amount of money each program can spend per year/class (or however they want to define it). Some of these programs have unlimited resources and they’ll spend every last penny to buy a championship.
I read an article today about SMU. Don’t look now, but they are going to be a big player for years to come. They have DEEP pockets and those guys are ready to spend. They’ve been thirsty ever since they were given the death penalty in the late 80’s.
