This is crazy

I surf through the different CF website and came across this topic on a couple of the OSU sites. It's over a politician - JD Vance - with Trump backing - that has scheduled a political rally at the same time an OSU football game with Toledo is scheduled on TV. Not Notre Dame, PSU or Michigan - it's Toledo. And he's getting ripped & questioned if he really knows and understands the state on a couple of the OSU sites. I realize how serious OSU football is to them, but Jesus

A handful of lunatics. Hardly representative of the state.

lol. Stupid move by Vance. Pretty easy to schedule around Ohio State football in Ohio.

Imagine if Nebraska was favored to win the Big Ten and make the playoff and some politician scheduled a rally opposite a Husker home game.

It's pretty funny that people are mad about this. On the flip side it is a REALLY stupid time to hold a rally from an interest/attendance standpoint. Ohioans love their Buckeyes especially considering the shit they've gone through with the Clowns and Bungles over the years. (Well minus last year for the Bungles) But whatever I don't actually care about this or politics in general. Just follow for the laughter when I see stuff like this, lol

It doesn't matter. Ohio State football is the most popular college or pro sport in the state. It has been since the 1930s.
Yep, no doubt which is why the local politician is taking heat. I think it was posted for laughter although some of the Ohio loonies probably aren't laughing.

I've had people from Ohio tell me that if the Browns, Bengals, and OSU all played on the same day that the 2 Pro teams would go broke and out of business. OSU has close to a cult following in that state

Browns yes Bengals doubtful, they have the Bearcats and a ton of Kentucky fans , not a huge OSU town , have relatives there we went back for the 2012 game when Burkhead playedOntjedrive back to Cincinnati after the game very light traffic.

Being from Ohio, Cincinnati doesn’t have a big Ohio State fan base. Cincinnati doesn’t really see itself connected with the rest of Ohio. The Cleveland area has a good number of Michigan and Notre Dame fans, but OSU is the favorite. The passion for the Buckeyes however pales compared to the Browns. The Toledo area is a 50/50 split between the Buckeyes and Michigan.

OSU’s passionate support comes mainly from Central Ohio, Western Ohio, and the Southeast portion of the state.

Would disagree Cleveland area is probably #2 after Columbus.
