So with Holg agreeing to a two year contract it's a net plus for the offense. He has cred as an offense mind and that should help with top tier offensive players. With White leaving it could be a net loss; he also has cred as an up and coming D coordinator. Some of the players entering the portal on the defensive side could be following him to Free Shoes. That's why it would be good if Rhule rolls the dice and makes a splash DC hire, altho it would probably piss off a couple of guys on the staff who would like to take the job. A splash DC hire couldn't help but turn the heads of some good defensive players.

Hope that rolodex has a few more good cards in it.

My opinion is get the very best available DC you can, if he can bring a couple players, or knows a couple of top notch defenders from a team they played, give them a jingle in any legal way you can.
