If you want to get technical, the original intent of the rule is for someone to not come running on the field from the sidelines.

This just in. Players in the huddle have to be considered.

What does that have to do with the comment? Read what I wrote. A player could leave the huddle, step off of field in formation, then re-enter into the playing field. Or just step on the field from the sidelines.

No new information there. Once the play starts with the players on the field, there has to be some interpretation. Some rule.
