The Offense: 2023 vs 2024

yep. Sims had a 50+ yard play against CU.

HH accounted for at least 3, as well, including two 70+ yard touchdowns.

that 7 number is low, because Josh Fleeks (remember him?) also had a 50+ yard run. we had 2 50+ yard plays against Michigan alone.
Also on pass plays both the receiver and the QB get credit for them in individual stats, so it will look like more.

here's the game log:

@minn - zero 40+ yard plays
@CU - 1 50+ yard run (sims), 1 40+ yard run (r johnson)
vsN ILL - none
vsLa Tech - 1 70+ yard run (HH), 1 40+ yard run (HH)
vsMich - 1 50+ yard pass (Marcus Washington), 1 70+ yard run (Fleeks)
@ILL - none
vsNW - 1 40+ yard pass (Coleman)
vsPur - 1 70+ yard pass (Lloyd), we also had a 68 yard FG Blk return
@Sparty - 1 40+ yard run (HH)
vsMD - none
@wisc - 2 50+ yard plays (purdy run, Lloyd catch)
vsIowa - 1 60+ yard pass (Lloyd)

12 total 40+ yard plays, 4 50-60 yard plays, 1 60-70 yard play, 3 70+ yard plays.

and 1 additional 60+ yard play on special teams.

Those changes are more common than ever now, college QBs are expected to handle it and I think for the most part they do just fine. It would be a very low concern with Dylan.
tell that to Rhule, who laughed at the notion of staff changes ahead of the season, citing terminology as a chief reason why.

then it is poorly worded because it states they are 10+ etc.. that would lead me to believe that the is the total number of plays greater than 10 yards, not just plays 10-19 yards.
agree.

a 70+ yard play would be counted in all of those categories.

this year's game log:

vsUTEP - 1 40+ yard run (E Johnson), 1 50+ yard catch (Neyor)
vsCU - none
vsUNI - 1 50+ yard catch (Lloyd)
vsILL - 1 40+ yard catch (Neyor)
@PUR - none
vsRUT - none
@IU - none
@OSU - none

a significant decline in explosive plays overall, just 1 single 40+ yard run all year so far

last year we averaged exactly 1 40+ yard play per game. this year, it's been cut in half to 0.5 40+ yard plays per game.

Ya gotta say something for the fans. I almost never listen to a press conference of any coach. They’re 99% meaningless. The important notes, injuries, etc. will get spread around quickly enough for me. The way Rhule speaks has never moved the needle for me. It is strictly his record for reviving programs.

Keeping his OC last offseason was a lot more understandable than it will be this year. The regression throughout this year will be the nail in the coffin.

in other words, you agree with the moniker "Preacher"

funny.

He’s no more of a preacher than almost any other coach, so no. I would call him a coach, not a preacher.
You said “how Rhule speaks has never done it for me.”

Not “how all coaches speak…”

I get it. Agreeing with me on this when you obviously do would be devastating to your brand (LOL).

QB's make the biggest jump from year 1 to year 2.. too bad we don't get to see that jump this year

Raiola has a higher completion percentage but other than that, the rest of the stats are similar.
Other than fumbles lost which directly caused us to lose games.

Surprised at the number of people who want to try to win games with a QB who can't get the other players the ball often.

Hope that helps, but doubtful. I thought it was too good to be true to have a normal conversation, and here you are again perverting your adversary’s words to try and justify your extreme incompetence regarding basic English and memory of a scared chimp.

Get some sleep, chump.

I find it hilarious that you're coming crawling into this thread like the roach you are after defending Satt and talking about the WR room like they're Randy Moss & Chris Carter

keep the football talk to the football folks, dipshit.

every time you post I will remind people how wrong you are about literally everything NU football all the time.

"anthony grant is our best back!" "Jeff Sims is a better passer than Tommy Armstrong!" "purdy is a P5 QB!" "Our identity is extremely balanced!"

LMAO. I sincerely hope you hate it here.

I assign your thoughts to you.

no need to read when I know exactly what you will say 100% of the time.

enjoy the gaping tonight, bottom.

The evidence above proves you don’t even know what simple punctual sentences say…You literally argue with your own illiteracy. This is why people have you on ignore. Time after time you prove to be the most pointless person to try to converse with. I’m sure you’ll keep quoting me like the little brother you are, people really seem to be loving it!

only the most tremendous of douchebags would keep digging in like you have.

you chose to remove "normal conversation" with me from the menu all on your own.

like I said, I truly hope you hate it here. nobody will notice when you're gone. you bring zero to the table anywhere, ever.
