The hoops roster is now stable says Miles

As funny as this is, I really don't mind the transfers. Still not a Miles fan.

Horne-defensive liability
Fuller-Division 2 player at best. No man's land for position.
Morrow-injury liability, not a scorer, shaq-like free throw shooter at times, undersized for D1
Jacobson-cement blocks for feet, can't jump, can't shoot, has to dribble after every offensive rebound-great hair

Great effort players though, big heart, not attacking their desire. How many games did the huskers win this year? Addition by subtraction on the talent scale...It's one thing to win 20 plus games with these guys...that didn't happen. Time to move on and wish these guys luck wherever they end up. At least they went out with class unlike the dipshit in Syracuse.

They may not have been perfect, but addition by subtraction only applies when there is something to add. I'd much prefer to have Horne, Morrow, and Jacobson than not.

Well, after looking over the roster again, it might not be as bleak for Nebraska next season as I originally thought, AS LONG AS no one else leaves. They can put five starter-minutes players on the floor in Glynn Watson, Evan Taylor, Jack McVeigh, either Isaiah Roby or Isaac Copeland (December for IC), and Jordy Tshimanga. Then there's guards Anton Gill, transfer James Palmer, and one of either Roby or Copeland coming off of the bench.

That should make for a solid eight man rotation.

Morrow had B1G quality potential as a beast inside. He was likely to average 10-12 points /8 or 9 boards next season. Jacobson was a bigger producer than most give him credit for and had a knack for meaningful plays down the stretch. He also was a monster rebounder in big moments especially on the offensive glass. To lose one hurts. To lose both is murder.

We have no big man depth now in the absence of a couple transfers.

Barfknecht in April: Roster turnover is the norm these days. Stop panicking, happens everywhere.

Fast-forward to February: Of course Timmy's team is below .500 and in 13th place - have you forgotten about that devastating roster turnover? It's a miracle they've won any games at all with this roster. Give the man an extension.

Barfy= box of shit. We have been over this.

Yeah I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anything Timmy's personal stenographer writes. Should have given that article the headline: Absolutely, positively no more players are leaving NU, except those who might later

I guess some of you are right. We should all just jump off a tall building. You first.Winking

The only one on this list that I think hurts is Morrow

Horne - As much as we needed his shot, he helped the team in no other aspect of the game. He wanted to be more than just a shooter and it hurt us a lot. His decision making left a lot to be desired, but he was a freshman and he could of fixed that stuff.

Fuller - This was going to happen and we all knew it

Jacobson - He played harder than anyone on the team. He helped a ton in offensive rebounding and effort saves to keep Nebraska with the ball. That said I don't think his skill set can't be replaced with someone better. That someone does not have to be a blue chip either.

Morrow - He is a player that I felt was the face of the program along with Watson. That class was Nebraska basketball, and the face of what I was defending Miles for. Him leaving was like a kick in the nuts, and I just can't defend Miles on this loss. Unless Morrow comes out and says it is because of his injured foot... I don't want to hear excuses like that!

With all that said, the timing of all this is making Miles look real bad. That will hurt recruiting, and if we don't get another Big and another Point Guard we are going to be short on bodies and have too many holes "AGAIN". I hope to God he lands Mark Smith, that would lessen the sting a bit.

Solidly at the bottom of the league...again.

I guess Mr Miles and I have a different comprehension of the word " stable. "
You haters just fail to realize the ship is NOT sinking:

love you dingle, but you are essentially redrover when it come to the basketball program
No. I didn't predict we would win the conference....at least not without a wink emoticon after it. I'm realistic about our players' abilities and our chances for the season and wins and losses but I understand where you're coming from. I'm definitely trying to be a glass half full guy.

Where's 4.6.3 and HuuskerDu. They seem very angry....:)
Angry? Hardly. Once again, I have never called for him to be fired. But I am also not gonna just blindly ignore all the obvious signs of terrible leadership year after year under his watch.
And no, I did not run into him. I did hear that inmediately after the accident his Nissan immediately transferred to another driver.

Breaking Fake News:

"I don't think the crash was a revenge move by any of my former players," Miles told police. "None of them could hit the broad side of an SUV."

Ok my question is Copeland as good or better then Morrow?? There roughly the same size and everything else, only one being a 4 star top 150 and the other being a 5 star top 150. If Copeland is anywhere near that 5 star level they gave him, we wont miss Morrow as bad.

Issacc Copeland Highlights at Goergetown

This is who we are getting playing at NCAA level comp. looks like hes got a great shot even from 3 point land and has great blocking ability. Just hopefully hes back to full sPeed and his oldself sonce surgery!!
