The Green Bay Packers Need an Owner

Nobody cept Packer fans know that stat and you know why? Because their seasons during that time ended so poorly nobody cares how many games tbey won during the regular season....all they remember are the choke jobs by one of the most unlikable QB's to ever play the game.
Yep and duriing the last 25 years who were the QBs for those teams

TB
BF
AR

Guess what...all gone. These dorky packer fans think Jordan Love is going to be Brett Rodgers all of a sudden.

Look at NU

T-Fraiz
Followed by Frost

Tons of wins...

Then...the slow decline.

Ya averaging 11.75 wins the last 4 years is REALLY getting played. SuperBigTroll!

Most NFL wins last 25 years:
1. Patriots
2. Packers

Somehow I think the organization will be just fine. But hey the Steven A. Smith sheep clearly posting garbage today.
Yes, the organization will be fine, just like every NFL team, they will print money.

But we are not talking about the organization we are talking about the team. Have fun trying to get to 8 wins!

That's an adorable comment. As a so called "Husker fan" like you, with your logic that's like saying Nebraska getting 11 wins a year and losing some of the bowls games = sh#*ty seasons. 99% of our fans would take that except someone missing a screw. GTHOH

Yep, we certainly will, that's what makes sports fun- rooting for your team and getting through adversity. Thanks for the kind words sugar britches!

Now imagine if our rooting and support helped! The Huskers would be undefeated every single year!

I would much rather underperform by not winning super bowls than by not making the playoffs. The underperforming comments amazingly always come from the Vikings, Bears, and Lions fans.

NFL and college are waaaay to different for me to make that comparison but i get it...when your team has failed in the post season as badly as the Pack have recently and your star QB is the main reason and the same said goofy QB is about to publicly divorce you, you want to grasp onto that regular season win total as if it means something. I'll allow it.

You consider it Rodgers divorcing the Pack? I look at it the other way. They forced his hand.

Chicken or the egg scenario IMO. I'm glad the Pack are moving on from him though, and in my opinion....Rogers looks like the total dork between the two parties. Hard to find much fault with GB here, and they way Rogers has acted in recent years validates why they drafted Love.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Have you paid attention to the last 2 off seasons ,
I haven't really because I don't care about the Packers.. I just know he won an MVP 2 seasons ago... He likes to trip balls in his free time, so what.. The media is what drives everyone to think he's a nut job or doesn't care.. If you believe everything Adam Schefter or Dianna Russini reports that's on you

You'd be an idiot to not know who Rodgers is? And I listen to him on the Mcafee show as well... Sorry you feel that way BBF..

How come people think that NFL games are fixed but you never hear them saying that this offseason stuff is scripted? It just occurred to me that this all sounds a lot like a dramatic soap opera script.

Anyway, I think the Jets have SOME leverage but they don't have all the leverage. It's not like they can afford to make a "take it or leave it" offer and just sit back and be fine either way. They can't run back another team with no QB this year, and it sure looks like they've put all their eggs in one crazy basket.

Jets need to drop their pursuit of Rogers and go fishing for Lamar....that's their leverage. Make it known you've moved on.....Pack will get real nervous real fast.

The Jets have already painted themselves into a corner for Rodgers. They signed Lazard and hired his old OC Hackett. It will be done soon. Pack will get a couple 2nd round picks. Maybe a 1st. The hold up is if Rodgers retires after one year with the Jets what will happen with one of the picks.

Nearly two weeks since Aaron Rodgers publicly expressed his intention to play for the New York Jets in 2023, the Green Bay Packers are still trying to get the value they want for the four-time NFL MVP before trading him away.

Per Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, the main thing that has the Jets and Packers "stuck" in talks right now are the protections on a 2024 draft pick if Rodgers retires after the upcoming season.

"A sticking point in the talks is the Jets seeking an element of protection built into the trade, specifically one that sends some 2025 draft compensation to New York from Green Bay if Rodgers does not play in 2024 and beyond," Robinson wrote.

Pursuing an often-injured guy that has never performed when it matters and who wants to set the market with a new contract would not make the Jets look like the smart team compared to the Packers. I didn't read all of the posts in this thread but I hope someone pointed out that it is beneficial to the Packers cap numbers if the trade doesn't happen until after June 1. The Packers aren't nervous yet.

I don't even like Lamar....but he makes much more sense to go after than a one year rental who doesn't seem to care about playing anymore and the Jets just need to show the Pack they aren't afraid to move on.

Nervous about what? They have a 1st round backup qb that they need to find out if he is any good. Getting rid of Rodgers is bonus.

A lot of regular people lead small opera lives. Now add fame and unlimited money....

He won't show up to voluntary workouts and work with young receivers instead of speaking at a psychedelic conference. 100% not committed.

There’s a lot of wisdom here. What would you give up for a 40 year old whose game declined significantly last year and who does not appear to be all in?

Disagree on the mini camp thing...when you have a new receiving corp you should make it a point to be there...especially with the way their last few seasons ended and the way Rogers choked. Not debatable to me and another reason Rogers only won a single SB in his time at GB.

Yeah, AR doesn't need mini-camp...That is a radio show topic to kill time.
They have 3 receivers on their roster. Watson, Dobbs, and Toure, who was basically the 7th receiver last year. All rookies. More rookies coming this year. Showing up in fall camp and practicing like a typical veteran qb means that they have very little time together, especially when guys get dinged up like Watson last summer.

So skipping team activities means receivers and Rodgers not on the same page at the start of the season again.

Yeah but the thing is...that page is from his book. They need to be ready because he already is.

What the packers needed was to not draft Jordan Love. That’s what sent Rodgers over the edge. Ever since it’s been drama. And for what? Jordan Love was a waste of a pick at a position they didn’t need to mess with. Tee Higgins was available at the spot they took Love. Idiots.

The pick can be debated until the end of time but the fact remains that his production wasn't there and he wasn't exactly Tom Brady in that he wanted to play until he was 50. I think the mistake was skipping taking wide receivers when they had the chance with other picks. Like Dillon. Good player. Starter quality. But they don't have any commitment to the run game anyway so why do they need 2 starting rbs on the roster. They took a blocking te with a higher pick too, name escapes me.
