The Green Bay Packers Need an Owner

Need some context … I’m not sure the packers agreed to a trade with the jets

Rodgers agreed which he didn’t have authority … packers need to get the proper compensation or Rodgers can hold a clipboard on the sidelines.

The packers own the rights to Rodgers … the packer gm needs to negotiate what’s best for the packers and not A-Aaron

An owner gets it done

A GM with his neck on the cutting board does not & ends up hilariously handcuffing the team multiple ways

Classic

Hopefully it screws up the Packers for the next decade😁

Exactly the trajectory (I’m not mad about it)

Zero chance an owner lets anybody throw their org under the bus only to cut them a $59M check weeks later

unfortunately for GB the Jets have all the leverage. Should have traded him at least a season ago. I think the best scenario for GB would be a 2023 pick and conditional 2024 and 2025 picks if Rodgers plays more than a season. Honestly the Jets have more to lose in potentially handicapping their franchise if they overpay and Rodgers turns out to be a bust for them. GB just needs to cut their losses and get rid of him asap or the worst case is he says to hell with it retires and leaves them in cap hell.

I could see him staying, cashing his checks and just mailing it in

Rodgers, in addition to being a ritualistic drug user, is a vindictive a-hole who hasn’t spoken to his own mother for going on a decade

He will burn that place to the ground and I and all other nfc north fans will have a front row seat

I love the Prince of Darkness. I wish he wouldn't leave GB. But, he is absolutely correct in leaving to find a franchise that wants to give him weapons and win now.
Meh. He'll probably win the same amount of games with the Jets. He hasn't done himself any favors with his unreliability and weird demands over the years in GB. He isn't exactly Tom Brady and willing to do anything to win. Tom Brady was taking pay cuts and having players live at his house. Rodgers won't even throw with rookie receivers until fall camp because he's too busy tripping out.

I am starting to think that his is almost his plan. To literally make green bay the laughing stock of sports and clearly he knows he can screw them over.

It is funny to see GB fans starting to turn on him.

GB will be far from the laughing stock of sports. They've had a HOF qb for 3 decades. Now they are ready to move on from the goofball hall of famer and see what the 1st round pick has. No shame in that. GB fans turned on him long ago when it was clear he wasn't remotely committed to football.

I mean, they are already getting laughed at.

Get ready for about 20 years of lameness.

When did this happen?

Viking fans are hilarious!

Man, being a GB fan right now would suck. You guys let him play you for years, it was like an abusive relationship and now it is ending but the only one getting hosed again is GB and their fans.

Chances of GB even making the wild card in the next 5 years is about zero.

GB hasn't done everything correct and I'm annoyed they are in this position when they used a 1st round pick on his replacement, but you are way off. They aren't getting hosed. GB is moving into a different era. Sure, the odds are it won't be as successful as the Favre or Rodgers era but assuming they draft a badass WR then I'm excited to finally see what Love can do.

I guess we will see!

Side note, does anyone go to NFL team message boards and if so, are they like college FB message boards?

I guess we will see!
We certainly will. None of this is a shock to GB fans. It was always going to end with Aaron being his weird, wishy washy self. My main gripe is that they should have invested more in the oline to prepare for a more balanced offense with Jones and Dillon.

Rogers was given better support than a lot of fans like to admit...IMO. For some reason most Green Bay fans and other fans for that matter, only remember when Green Bay drafted Jordan love and they forget about all the other great. Draft picks they made

He was MVP 2 years ago
Why do you think they are pushing him out the door? Because he isn't committed. He isn't getting Tom Brady
treatment on personnel decisions when he won't even spend time in the off-season to work with new/young receivers. He wants to play with Randall Cobb because that way he doesn't need to spend time working in the off-season.

The Packers aren't going to overpay a bunch of mediocre receivers to make him happy just because he wants to trip out every summer. That isn't what they are about. He complained that the Packers wouldn't give him weapons then tried to get the Jets to sign a bunch of Packers. He's an uncommitted flake.

My problem is they have not gotten creative enough while they have Jones/Dillon. Should have found a way to incorporate more packages to get them both on the field.

Watson looks like a future perennial pro-bowler.

McCarthy had zero creativity when he was running the show and LeFleur isn't much better.

Ya averaging 11.75 wins the last 4 years is REALLY getting played. SuperBigTroll!

Most NFL wins last 25 years:
1. Patriots
2. Packers

Somehow I think the organization will be just fine. But hey the Steven A. Smith sheep clearly posting garbage today.

Nobody cept Packer fans know that stat and you know why? Because their seasons during that time ended so poorly nobody cares how many games tbey won during the regular season....all they remember are the choke jobs by one of the most unlikable QB's to ever play the game.
