With Grobe taking the reigns as the program and university tries to right the ship, the football output will likely take a step back in the coming years. (No indictment on Grobe, he'll have positive impact, but I don't think anybody has an expectation that he will come in and be as successful from a win-loss standpoint.)
All of a sudden, Baylor goes from quality win to just another data point in the eyes of the CFP committee. Barring OU beating Ohio State and running the table, the Big XII could likely find themselves on the outside looking in once again.
Expansion rumors seem to have quelled, but this Baylor thing could be a catalyst for more turmoil within the conference. Even if the talk heats up again to bring more quality outs into the league, Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati, BYU are all Band-Aids on a hatchet wound. This thing is a house of cards.
Love to get some additional perspective on this from you all.
