Right off the bat, let me say that I'm an Ohio State fan.
I have a ton of respect about the discussion of Saturday's game on this board. Topics like Malik Hooker's hit on Tommy Armstrong, the final score (whether Urban Meyer was running it up or not), penalties called/not called, etc. have been discussed without the usual histrionics found on other boards (Penn State fans actually believe phone calls are made from Jim Delaney during games to overturn calls so Penn State will lose. I'm not making that up). Those topics have been brought up and the discussion has been civil and well thought out. Other viewpoints are considered and respected. I don't see a ton of profanity, name calling, or sarcasm.
It's nice to see a passionate and knowledgeable fan base that doesn't revert to infantile verbal barbs when things don't go well or when someone sees a situation differently than they do.
BTW, Tommy Armstrong returning to the sideline was impressive enough, but when he started coaching his teammates my level of respect (and everyone who saw it) went through the roof. I hope he returns soon and continues to re-write the record books. He has certainly earned it.
Beat the Gophers!
