I’m not sure if this is true or not, but it seems to me like Alabama doesn’t offer scholarships to kickers. As has been stated they always seem to have a bad kicker. I think they use their scholarships elsewhere and hope they never have to rely on their kicker.

I think part of it is that Saban rides his players so hard that they're wound too tight to just relax and kick it.

I think you're right. And honestly, as much as I like that NU almost always has a strong kicking game, I wish we were in position to do the same thing.
