You have zero guys on your staff even qualified to carry Coach Strong's jock strap. Explain to me who on your staff has two national championship rings and 3 BCS bowl wins. Go ahead and take your entire staff's accomplishments and try to match up to that.

Strong will turn around any program given enough time. Hell he won at Louisville with Watson as his OC. Nebraska fan's should appreciate that difficulty.

Right now, this very second, Strong looks lost at Texas, I'd chillax on the bravado if it were me.

That doesn't change the fact that the first game he coached, he ended the nations longest season opening win streak. Or that he has only won more than 9 games once in all his time at Oregon State. Doesn't change the fact that he was going to be fired at Oregon State because he wouldn't replace Banker..lucky for him Nebraska came calling when they did.

Continue to have complete blind faith in how great he can be...because Nebraska has better facilities and more money than Oregon State. Then trash a proven coach with 2 natties and 3 bcs championships because he hasn't won enough at the beginning of his second season...at a place that had huge entitlement issues and no qb. It might take him a little time to fix the dumpster fire that was there....he certainly did not create the problem.

C'mon...he wasn't going to be fired for not getting rid of Banker. While true that most of the fans found Banker to be far less than impressive and wanted him to go, Riley at OSU would have been safe either way. The expectations there were low. The question will be whether or not he would give Banker the axe here should that be needed.

I heard this in an interview from a person that covered Oregon State. Expectations there are not what they are here...but even they expect better than having a losing season 3 of the last 5 years.

That person probably knew most everyone there despised Banker. Their defense was atrocious. But I am doubtful this guy knew that Riley was told to fire Banker in order to keep his job. Whatever anyone thinks of Riley, I am sure he could have gone at least another three years there. He had a lot of change in his pocket.

Keep trumpeting an assistants accomplishments as a guarantee they can be head coach. Even Bo Pelini thinks that is asinine.

Nobody here is going to love Strong no matter how badly you want them to. To date, he sucks at Texas, nothing you say can change that.

I basically said that was ridiculous and backed it up with facts.
